HollywoodLife.com spoke with the ‘Pregnant in Heels’ star about the controversial cover and she says breastfeeding is a good thing but why it shouldn’t go through kindergarten!
Rosie Pope is the ultimate mom! The Bravo reality star came to the HollywoodLife.com offices right before giving birth to her third child, a little girl named Vivienne Madison Pope, and she gave us her strong opinions about the TIME breastfeeding cover.
“Breastfeeding in the United States has been a controversial issue for some time,” Rosie tells us. “Particularly breastfeeding older children. It’s without a doubt … breastfeeding is really great for babies. It really helps them help their immune system in so many ways. But the question is ‘how long is it good to breastfeed?’”
Drumroll please …
“My opinions are that in America … if your child is walking around, going to school, and can say the word ‘boobies’ … it’s probably time to stop!”

How irresponsible of you Rosie, to make such a comment. Isn’t your livelihood based on the wants & needs of pregnant woman and families? You’ve just ostracized a big chunk of your market- those woman who have or intend to “extend breast feed”. I breast feed my last two children to well over two years (one was closer to three). They could “walk around” and say “boobies”. But, according to you, you know what’s best for my children & I should have stopped. Gee, thanks for your words of wisdom. No more listening to WHO recommendations or my doctors, I’ll just listen to you from now on. Perhaps next time you will keep your opinions to yourself.
