Did the feud help Jermaine on Team Blake Shelton win? Here’s what he told Hollywoodlife.com in a post-win interview.
Adam Levine‘s public feud with Christina Aguilera may have helped The Voice‘s ratings, but did it cost them both their chance to win the whole competition? Jermaine Paul ended up taking home the gold for Team Blake Shelton, and we caught up with him to get his thoughts on how the feud impacted his chances. “I don’t pay attention to any of that,” Jermaine told HollywoodLife.com after the finale. “Tony Lucca is an amazing artist, Chris Mann is an amazing artist, and Christina and Adam are both great coaches.”
“They put so much hard work and effort in this process, and I think at the end of the day, they really love each other,” he added. “It’s like sisters and brothers. I have nine brother and sisters, so I understand the dynamic. I’m sure when America made their choice, it is what it is… I thought my biggest rival was Juliet Simms and it so happened that’s the way it turned out. It was both of us at the end.”
It sounds like Jermaine doesn’t want to admit the feud might have helped him, but what do YOU think? Would he still have won if America hadn’t been distracted by the war raging between Team Adam and Team Christina?

I know the right person won the voice, everybody was given the same opportunity that jermaine had, each chose different songs, he chose what was best, and god decided who would win this competition, he is blessed, so let’s be happy for him, they. All were good but he was great and he’s a man after gods own heart, Adam and Christina feud may have helped him ,because they elimiated people that was better on there team than the ones that went to the finals, that maybe could have one, but it all was in gods Plan , so jermaine is the winner , and America voted, so god bless america and jermaine.
