Why Does Christina Aguilera Hate Tony Lucca On 'The Voice'?

Christina has been irrationally cruel to Tony all season, and he knows she’s out to get him!

Did I miss something on The Voice this season? Did Tony Lucca drown Christina Aguilera‘s puppy, or punch her grandma, or steal her lunch money? The show’s meanest coach has been inexplicably hating on the fan-favorite finalist since day one, and her wrath came out so strongly May 7 that Adam Levine reportedly had to step in and shut her down!

Christina was said to be offended by Tony’s decision to sing Jay-Z‘s “99 Problems,” leading to a pre-show clash with Adam, who nobly stepped up to bat for his artist. Adam publicly squashed the feud by baring a “Team Xtina” shirt during the live show, but Christina wasn’t ready to make nice as easily.

“Your beautiful wife and your daughter and family are here tonight, and I just thought the lyrical connotation was a little derogatory towards women,” she told Tony after his performance, though she did acknowledge he “sounded great.” Christina was also nowhere to be seen when Adam and Tony performed their duet.

I’m sorry, but since when is Christina a shining beacon of female empowerment? And what exactly would she choose as an anthem for her cause? “Dirrty”? Because I’m pretty sure that little chart topper — and its accompanying music video, rife with ass-less chaps — represented women in the worst light possible.

And this was merely the latest in a long line of disses Christina served to Tony throughout the season. It began when she didn’t recognize him during his audition, despite starring alongside him in The Mickey Mouse Club for two years in the ’90s, the continued as she delivered harsh, irrational critiques of his performances.

“I hope this is really a contest about the voice,” Christina said one week. “I think there are just better voices on the show, rather than a celebrity sway kind of thing.” She’s also accused Tony of being a one-note performer.

“All of the other coaches have been pretty respectful about each other’s choices, but now it seems like she’s just flat-out trying to get me out of here,” Tony told People earlier this month.

I don’t know what Christina’s problem is, but it’s clear she’s not on Team Tony. I know it, the viewers know it, and worst of all, Tony knows it. But will her endless tirade against her fellow Mouseketeer cost him the competition? We’ll find out tonight when The Voice crowns the winner of season two!

Wow. Just wow. This had potential to be a well written and factually based article but that was blown completely out of the water by the authors blatant distaste for Aquilera. Aside from the asinine implication that Aquilera has no songs with an “empowering women” theme (Fighter and about three dozen other tracks come to mind( but to say that Dirrrty showed women in “the worst light ever” was INCREDIBLE!!!! ALLAH FORBID a woman dress skimpy/sexy and sing about sex. It immediately discredits ANYTHING else she’s ever done in her life. If this i s you seeing women in the worst light ever… try being awake for more than three minutes a day then maybe you’re opinion.will not only be more respectable but may actually make a damn bit of sense!

There was a lot of contoversy about Tony Lucca singing “99 Problems”. The version he sang was not the Jay-z version. It was a version by a man named Hugo. If people listened to both, they would here the different lyrics and meaning behind the two songs. “The Voice” was wrong by calling it a Jay-Z song.

Did anybody catch Chris Mann and Christina walking off the stage at end of show. He had his arm around her, looked down and her and whispered “you look hot tonight”

Does anyone actually like her. She shows no grace and her voice is good but will not stand the test of time. She is a totally self absorbed bitch, and her foolish wardrobe needs to go as does she. i ain’t watching next season if she is on it, there are better alternatives

She says he’s being derogatory to women, as she sits there with her breasts verily CRAMMED into her shirt….a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen. And what was with the studded granny panties on the final show? She wasn’t even performing and yet, running around in her underwear?
I almost wanted Tony to win to SPITE her, which is odd because generally, I dont care enough to even vote!

Christina – if you look at your past videos, style of dressing and your behavior on the show – I do not think you are upholding the image of Women…just because you became a mom that does not make you a WOMAN…it takes a lot more..

Why was her son on her lap?…is this a show of a baby’s day out…

She must have said that she was sick a million times…Christina, to put it bluntly – GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS and do what you have been paid to do.

Remember, you too started off being a nobody….so GIVE others a chance.

I must say that Tony took it all in very good spirit and I think HE should continue to prove to HIMSELF and HIS FAMILY that HE has what it takes.

I have heard some lousy artists gain popularity and I have wondered…huh???? how ???? but you have it all and with the right support and GOD’s Blessings you can make it big.

Look at guys who kept it simple – Simon and Garfunkel, Beatles, Elvis…they were never outrageous …but they had style….If Xtina know she has to rely or relied earlier on her body and booobs…..did her voice really cut it for her?

Michael Jackson…had a Voice but his strength was in the lyrics of the song and most importantly his dancing…

So Xtina – the next time you accuse someone of doing or saying something that is derogatory to women – think again.

Tony didn’t even say the word bitch, at least he was respectful.

I’ve been a fan of The Voice for the past two seasons and I still can’t understand Xtina’s obviously harsh disapproval of Tony Lucca. Did something happen during the Mouseketeers era that led to the emergency of the Bee-yotch? Constructive criticism, an honest “I didn’t like your performance” would have been acceptable but all those jibes about the LYRICS (hello, blame the songwriter!) and the quips about Chris being “a real man” — an obvious reference to Tony’s performance, was just wrong.

She shouldn’t really be talking… I agree with the other post and the author’s opinion. Her music consists of inaappropiate content. She is the worst portrayal of women everywhere, especially based on her appearance and how she carries herself. And why is she even a coach? Sure she can sing like, “oooooooohhhh ohhhhhhhh yeahhhh yeahhhh yeahhhh (x100000),” but she is nothing special. She is like a typical little pop singer diva… but that’s probably what the producers want…
