Rob’s gritty new role in ‘Rover’ will make him an Academy Award contender, a casting director tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY — find out why!
Robert Pattinson is rumored to be playing a robber in the upcoming film Rover, which will be a long way from Edward Cullen and the roles that made him most famous. But a Hollywood insider says the film would be the perfect move to have Rob further his career!
Rob, 25, could move his career to another level, veteran casting director Dorin Onir tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“Rob’s decision to play the role of the villain in Rover would be a brilliant career move,” Dorin says. “The best roles for men are either blockbuster comedic roles (think of Will Smith) and really vindictive, insidious dark roles. These types of roles catapult normal actors into the stratosphere. Think of Christian Bale in American Psycho, Ryan Gosling in Drive, Javier Bardem in No Country For Old Men and Leonardo DiCaprio in The Basketball Diaries. These roles have defined these actors, who are all now Oscar nominees. Rob is smart because after winning over a male audience in Mission: Blacklist, he will play the bad guy in Rover. He is handpicking compelling roles that will define his range as an actor. Rob will one day be an Oscar contender if he continues making these smart career choices. I know he can do it because I believe he is an extremely talented actor.”
Do YOU think Rob’s role in Rover will be his best ever, HollywoodLifers?
