'The Voice' Season Finale: A Winner Is Finally Crowned

After months of intense competition, the final four contestants — Tony Lucca, Juliet Simms, Jermaine Paul and Chris Mann – took to the stage on the May 8 season finale of The Voice, and one of them was officially crowned. So who had the honor of being named “The Voice”? Drumroll please…

Jermaine Paul!

Sobbing on stage in front of millions of viewers, Jermaine thanked everyone who voted for him, as well as his family for their undying support.

“Nobody but Jesus!” he exclaimed. “Nobody!”

Jermaine is a wish washy joke, how he made it to the auditions let alone the final 4 and then to go on an win it is the biggest laugh of all time. If they are going to offer prizes to the people on these shows for winning, then there needs to be a real panel of judges. Not a rigged audience vote where the results are so often so dubious. I struggle to believe that anyone but Jermaine’s family would buy his album should he release it!!!

This season was filled with a lot of talent. Celo team was by far the best and second Blake team. All 4 finals were great but Juliet and Jermaine the best for me.I just wish people vote more for good female voices. It seem that most of the time the public prfer men. Juliette voice was my number one choice. Jermaine the best between the lasts four candidates. Just wonder who would have been in the finals and the winner if we could not hear them and not seen them till the announcement of the winner.

I feel he was already a professional Singer and everyone knew who he was so he got a unfair advantage, I thought this show was for people who wasnt already notice. Everyone who signed up got robbed but congratulations anyway I guess

What were the others thinking?! Jermaine got ‘The Voice’. It’s alright to have your own winner but to say that he’s not deserving, that’s stupid.

But let’s leave it that way because if it wasn’t Jermaine, then we as his supporters will probably say the same against whoever the winner was. What important is, Jermaine won, the majority chose him. Sorry for you guys out there who are saying that the finale was a disappointment. It would have been a disappointment to me as well if it wasn’t Jermaine.

Congratulations Jermaine! You have an amazing voice and I’m really happy you won. Juliet was amazing too – I wish the best to both of you.
Christina Aguilera should be cut from the show – she sits there looking like an idiot, acting like a spoiled brat, dressed like a fool, ruining ‘The Prayer’, bullying Adam – not much likeable about her at all! Pretty much everything she said and did was obnoxious.

The Voice should go for one cycle only next season. It is a ratings magnet, but there is a danger of over-exploiting it. Look at Fox – The X Factor and American Idol are canceling each other. The Voice’s ratings will fall maybe to low 3s”

All these talent shows are just producing oversaturation and they are killing each other’s ratings and viewers.

Curious that for all the seasons of a lot of Talent shows, only a few stars have resulted.

What is NBC going to do now that The Voice kept dropping in the ratings all year?
Tonight’s finale was Terrible!
Way too drawn out, way too much boring filler and the woman doing the interviews was so bad it was hard to watch.
Plus yesterday show with last year’s final four proves the show does not have contestant’s talent to be stars.
Today’s final four, only Juliet with the talent to be a star and she did not win.
Juliet, Tony and Jesse Campbell where the only 3 with the power to become stars. And Juliet was second, Tony third, and Jesse did not make it to the finals due to Christina, and Christina made sure Tony did not win.
Judges Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, all help all the singers.
Christina Aguilera does not help any of the singers and only hurts the singers. “Christina’s cruel remarks & diva antics have turned everyone against her”
And Christina turned off a lot of viewers with her constant attacks on Tony; it was disgusting and uncalled for.
Also for a show called The Voice, there was a lot of lip syncing in tonight’s

The biggest mistake Christina did was eliminating Jesse Campbell. She lost being the winning coach by her wrong judgement. So she faces the defeat. She is weak in identifying talent.

I think the winner was definitely the right choice! I loved Jermaine and all that he stands for. While I voted for him many times, I almost voted for Tony just because Christina was so rude to him. I can’t stand looking at her. What was that getup she had on last night??

The show is the Voice !

When I think about any of the contestants I judge it by what I remember them singing. “Like “Roxanne”…”its a man , mans World” and “Freebird”……all sung by Juliet. I thought Jermaine was a nice guy , looked good and talented of course. But there are thousands of his type of singers and very few Juliets …..I think she will end up making the most $$$ anyway …Like Daughtry !

Jermaine won by four percentage points, meaning he had a 4% lead on Juliet.

Anyone who knows math would know, that the value of a % increases with amount.

Now let us assume that only the people in the audience voted and there were 500 people who used 10 votes each, that would end up being 5,000 votes, 4% of 5,000 is 200.

As a scenario, Jermaine could have very well won by a few hundred votes more than Juliet, so please, to all the scoffers… go back to grade school and learn your percents. Four percentage points could actually be hundreds of individual votes depending on how many votes were made. So quit being sore losers.

Lets be honest all of the finalist had a good chance of winning this seasons voice.
The final four were nothing alike in sound or performance on stage.
JULIET: The unique gritty raspiness in Juliet’s effortless vocals is a you just do not hear in anyone else in the industry today so that would’ve been a winner that you’d hear on the radio and just KNOW who the artist is singing which is like ADELLE, CHRISTINA, MARIAH ETC. very few DISTINCT VOICES like that in the industry!.
TONY LUCAS: The spin with Tony Lucus for me was that he had a great vocal and took the harshness from Christina week after week and came back to win every week so I loved the fire in him as each week passed he got better and better and he drew you in, challenging the words spoken from Christina , showing how diverse he really is and very current so NO he IS NOT ONE DIMENTIONAL as an artist as Christina stated on the show which was rude (and I love her) but that was not a tasteful way of getting your critic across. Like myself, many viewed it as CATTY and LOW BLOWS, which only made HER become noticeably NIT A FAN IF HIS which is fine since we all have different taste and criteria for what makes a singer a STAR, but in the end he OUTSHINED THE HELL OUT OF THE BELITTLING STATEMENTS AND GOT STRONGER WEEK.
CHRIS MANN: He will succeed and get signed undoubtedly as he will appeal to the people who love classical and opera very strong vocals ( remember Susan Boyle from the ?) but too add to his credit he is very easy on the eyes and quite mannerly so that in a man is sexy and hot so he’s gonna be able to sing what it is that his heart wants to sing not someone they conform to a package deal and change his strengths.
JERMAINE: WONDERFUL TO HEAR A VERY STRONG MANLY VOICE LIKE THAT! HE DEFINATELY PROVED TO BE PAST HIS TIME AS A BACKUP VOCALIST UNDOUBTEDLY! And the passion to sing was felt in every word he would sing in ANY SONG CHOICE! I like that he was SO CONSISTANT WEEKLY and extreme gratitude was Obvious, never acted cocky just CONFIDENT!
Can’t wait to see next seasons vocalist already! The big question I have is…. Will the JUDGES ALL STAY ON???

What church do u go to? Maybe this world needed another black beautiful bald man to sing for your corrupted self. I guess Meryl Streep needed another Oscar award over Viola Davis. When blacks win anything, it is always hard to swallow. Well, you better gulp this down, this black man needed to win this way. Juliette and the others will make it after the show. Jermaine may not. God bless him. Personally, Jesse was awesome, if not better. Jermaine is very handsome and saying he is not, is some guy jealous of black beauty. Do not hate. Be colorblind. Maybe the show would be better if we, the audience never see the contestants until the finals. Less discrimination. So sad.
