We’d really love a girl to win American Idol this season, but it’s going to be tough if they keep getting voted off! Tonight best friends Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine were in the bottom two…

…leaving Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez safe for another week.

Shockingly, Skylar was eliminated, which had her BFFs, Josh and Hollie, in tears.

Joshua should have made the finals. Jessica is great but needs more showmanship. Sklar is the bomb! I will not be watching American ldol in the future nor will my family and friends. Something’s wrong when best talent doesn’t win. Phillip should have gone home a long time ago.

thats wrong. he’s to much of a gospell singer. too much screaming. and a bit on the flamboyant side. the girl (Jessica) is way more talented than anyone on this show. hands down she should win this thing.

American Idol judges want a female to win: They praised Joshua but had no intentions to move him forward. He is the BEST in the group! He sings well, perform well and he has Showmanship! It’s real sad, he should have won. God has better plans for him! He is Good!!!!!!

I couldn’t agree more with brian’scomments. America has it wrong, even though Jessica and Phillip are good singers, Joshua is a GREAT singer and performer, and I hope to hear a lot more of his songs in the near future.

Well, this outcome is definitely the American way and is not surprise. Having two minorities as finalist is not the American way. Putting a minority against an Anglo IS the American way.

Tonight was a reminder of what idol is. a teeny bopper popularity contest that has nothing to do with talent, showmanship or performance quality. Joshua Ledet was the best idol contestant since the show has been on the air. This was the biggest dissapointment I’ve ever witnessed on television. It only goes to show that Joshua Ledt is too big for American Idol. What a load of crap. Thanks for wasting an hour of my life each week that I’ll never get back.

I am really disappointed like so many that Joshua didn’t make it to the finals. He is obviously the most talented in every category. Jessica is extremely talented, however; she didn’t have the showmanship that Joshua has. Even though I know Joshua will have a huge career, but I only wish he could have experienced being crowned the next A.I. I also agree with a lot of what the other viewers said,in that this what you will get when you rely on the public to come through in voting for the best contestant, and not just their favorite. I know it is, what it is, but it doesn’t seem fair.

First of all the judges are biased! One of them is weird and never has a thought of his own! Hollie is 10 times better than Joshua will ever be. What is strange is Joshua was almost voted off once, so how is it that all of a sudden he is popular? Screaming gospel music cannot be that popular. I think this thing is predetermined. Voting by the public is nonsense, they don’t count them! JLo is the biggest phony of all of them and they ought to kick that clown with the baseball cap out of this country. He is a idiot!

If Phillip Phillips wins Idol, I will probably jump out a window..It will be 2 seasons in a row that it was decided by popularity, not the best performer and singer..He gets all the teenie bobber votes….

Skylar should not have been voted off. Hollie should have been the one. The obvious winner should be Jessica, period.
I think Idol is not honest. Judges have their favorites dispite so called America voting.

Hicks and rednecks are who voted for Skylar and kept her on the show as long as she was there. A majority of the American Idol’s audience are country people and little girls. That’s how Scotty Mccreary beat Pia Toscano, Casey James, James Durbin, Haley Reinhart and Jacob Lusk, and Lauren Alaina was the runner-up, another country singer. If it were a show based on real singing talent, then 17 year old Scotty Mccreary would not beat Pia Toscano, Casey James, James Durbin, Haley Reinhart or Jacob Lusk or even the runner-up, Lauren Alaina.

YOU HAVE fu**ing right to diss Scotty like that, the two finalist Scotty McCreery (with two E’s btw)and Lauren Alaina were the BEST BY FAR two finalist EVER.
he maybe should not have beaten James Durbin, becuase i feel he was the real star, but as for Casey James, wtf? he was creepy as hell on stage and no one wanted him there but the judges (stupid idiots for saving him) Pia had malfunctions with the voting, but did she come back this year to dominate the winnings? NO. Haley was fricken amazing, BUT due to the lack of voters she was voted off early, BUT she now has an album out and doing amazing. Jacob Lusk, i dont even remember him. but scotty was by far the BEST singer there was, his voice was deep and gorgeous. American Idol should be proud to have him as an idol. so go F yourself and never diss scotty again.

Phillip need to go. Just watched a repeat of this weeks show and he DEFINATELY should have been in the bottom two. Painful to watch his pathetic grimances and listen to his off pitch voice. Not in the same calibre as the others. Go home Phillip. Enough is enough!
