Happy hump day, fellow TV addicts! Allow me to break up your week with scoop on five of your (and my) favorite shows.
Now that we’ve officially entered May sweeps, our favorite shows are readying their most outrageous story lines — so I figured this would be the perfect day for my first-ever Spoiler Party, a collection of scoops that didn’t quite make their way into stories on HollywoodLife.com. So let’s get started, shall we?
I knew things would be rough between Jake (Brett Davern) and Matty (Beau Mirchoff) after last season’s game-changing finale, but I never thought the bromance would turn violent — until now. “The bromance becomes just as rocky as [Jake and Jenna’s] romance,” Brett tells me about Awkward.‘s second season this summer. “It could come to blows, we’ll see. We’re still shooting now, but I was promised there could be a little stage combat in the future. I’ve read the script, though, and people are not going to see it coming.”
No one ever returns to Beverly Hills quietly, so expect plenty of drama when Dixon (Tristan Wilds) comes back from touring on the May 15 season finale of 90210 — especially between his girlfriend Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) and her new manager Austin (Justin Deeley). “People are going to be shocked [by the finale] in a good way,” Justin tells me. “There are going to be some choices for [Austin] to make that will influence relationships in the future. In the last two episodes, his main priority is Adrianna. He wants this to work out for both of them — no matter what.”
Previews for the May 7 episode reveal that a new Marilyn will need to step up when Rebecca (Uma Thurman) falls under the weather — and it turns out Ellis might have a hand in deciding which hopeful lands the part! “You’re going to see my character decide who he wants to play Marilyn, as opposed to who everyone else wants,” Jaime Cepero tells me. “And then you’ll see him do everything he can to make sure this specific person plays Marilyn.” (For another Smash sneak peek, click here to watch our exclusive video of Katharine McPhee getting her gospel on.)
Mason isn’t the only one making trouble for the ladies of Dallas on Sunday’s season finale of GCB. Sandra Bernhard guest stars as an eco-terrorist named Debby Horowitz, who particularly butts heads with Kristin Chenoweth‘s Carlene — but Sandra says not to be too concerned about that little t-word. “Don’t worry, everybody comes out OK,” Sandra assures me. And it sounds like Debby might have some unfinished business in Texas! “I had lunch with [creator Robert Harling] after we shot, and he said if they pick up the show [for a second season], he’d love to bring me to Dallas to have another go ’round with the girls.” Fingers crossed!
In a last-ditch effort to make a name for herself, one of the Lux’s female residents will pull a Kim Kardashian on the May 7 episode of The L.A. Complex — and I’m not talking about starring on a reality show or becoming a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. Give up? Ray J might be able to give you the clue you’re looking for.
OK, that was it — my first Spoiler Party. I hope you made lots of new friends and took tons of pictures. Be sure to come back next Wednesday for more, and hit up the comments section with your thoughts on the scoops above!
