With Johnny’s long-time girlfriend Vanessa Paradis out of sight, the hunky actor cozied up with Amber during a recent trip to Vegas.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas — unless you’re a megastar like Johnny Depp or Amber Heard. According to reports by Life & Style, the pair was spotted looking quite cozy on April 25 in Las Vegas, where Johnny, 48, was promoting his new flick, Dark Shadows.

Although Johnny and his girlfriend of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, denied rumors of a split in January, the pair has not been spotted together since. Vanessa even skipped the lavish 10th birthday party that Johnny threw for their son, Jack, on April 7 in Los Angeles.

With Vanessa out of the picture, Amber has wasted no time stepping in as Johnny’s new leading lady. “He’s a wonderful artist and such a talented person,” Amber gushed. “He’s charming.”

Amber and Johnny met while filming The Rum Diary in 2009. Sparks immediately flew between the two and Amber reportedly danced seductively for the actor while on location in Puerto Rico. “When it comes to love, I’m totally open,” Amber confessed.

As for the derogatory comments by gbtw: The old DS show isn’t some sacred holy thing like so many fans of it are making it out to be, for god’s sake. Tim and Johnny are doing it differently, putting a diff spin on it. They never set out to try to copy it exactly, word for word, prop for prop, with the exact same tone and theme. They don’t copy–they create original pieces of brilliant genius. And they were both fans of the original, running home after school every day to watch it, so it’s not like they’re ‘outsiders’ who don’t know anything about the original show. They’re paying homage to it with this collaboration of theirs.

in my experience, people who call people idiots for having an opinion contrary to their own are not very evolved or intelligent human beings. also, my guess is that you never watched the original dark shadows b/c true fans are probably going to be disappointed in this camped out version of a dramatic soap opera. johnny should know his place, and burton shouldn’t have taken the lazy approach to this movie by doing another “brady bunch, the movie” style mockery.
