For anyone who saw last night’s (April 29) episode of ‘Khloe & Lamar,’ you know how much Lamar loves Kris Jenner’s emotional support. It took tremendous courage for him to stand up against her pressure and to cancel ‘Khloe & Lamar.’
On last night’s episode of Khloe & Lamar, Kris Jenner brings Kim and Kourtney to visit homesick and lonely Khloe and Lamar in Dallas after he’s been traded to the Dallas Mavericks. Rob Kardashian has already flown in to lend support and Lamar is delighted to have his “family” there for support.
You don’t only see on screen, that Lamar, whose father abandoned him as a child, loves to be part of the big Kardashian clan, he actually voices his appreciation for his momager-in-law Kris.
“Kris feels for me because she understands that my mother passed away at a young age,” he says. “She always has words of encouragement and it seems like what she says to me, sticks.”
You can totally feel, watching him speak emotionally, how much he has missed having a “mother” in his life and how much his surrogate mom, Kris means to him.
She had just finished giving him a pep talk about moving to Dallas when he spoke up to the cameras. She advised him: “you need to find your way and get in synch with everything and that takes years, not days. And it’s only been a month,” she counsels him.
“Emotionally, you have to play your own game. You got to where you are today because you are consistent, you’re great and you are fabulous. You have an amazing talent and you’re kind of cute.”
Since Lamar grew up without a mom or dad, it must have been especially hard to say no to Kris, who was not pleased about his decision to quit Khloe & Lamar, according to our source close to the Kardashians.
“Kris was not happy about the cancellation decision and is already trying to figure out how to keep Khloe and Lamar in the limelight. But this was Lamar’s decision. He wants to concentrate solely on his basketball career, the Kardashian insider told Hollywoodlife.com exclusively.
Lamar – it’s fantastic that you stood up to Kris Jenner. It’s never easy having a disagreement with your “mom.” And Kris has definitely publicly played up her motherly role in your life, tweeting last week that she was “shopping with my son (Lamar) LOL,” on April 23 and tweeting a photo of you.
But you did the right thing. This is YOUR life and YOUR career! And even though Kris has been emotionally supportive, she needs to support you at this most critical time of all, when you have to get your #1 career – basketball – back on track, even if it means cancelling Khloe & Lamar.
