From their romantic island honeymoon to adopting their adorable royal pup Lupo, let’s look back at Will & Kate’s first year as hubby and wife!

Can you believe it? It’s been a whole year since Prince William, 29, and Kate Middleton, 30, tied the knot at their jaw-dropping ceremony. Check out our favorite royal couple moments!

Here are our top five:

The Honeymoon

After the wedding watched ’round the world, Kate and Will escape for a little alone time together, disappearing to a tropical getaway in the Seychelles! Pulling out all the stops for his bride — palm trees, clear blue waters, white sand beaches — Will had spent time in the island before during his 2007 to Desroches, a four-mile-long strip in the Seychelles, saying it was the best vacation he’s ever had. Isn’t it adorable how William was trying to re-create an island paradise for Kate?

Meeting the Obamas

Fresh off their island honeymoon, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attend their first royal duties: schmoozing with President Obama and his first lady Michelle in Buckingham Palace on May 24, 2011. Keeping to her humble roots, Kate wore a neutral-colored dress from UK chain store Reiss that only cost $283!

North American Tour

In early July, the couple embarked on their 11-day Royal Tour in Canada, displaying their love to all of North America! Crowds shouted “Kate, Kate, Kate. We want Kate!” during their walkabout in Ottawa. The newlyweds visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, stopped by a rodeo in Calgary in cowboy hats, and found time to sample classic Canadian cuisine such as Yukon Arctic Char Caviar, Winnipeg smoked Goldeye and Prince Edward Island cheddar parfait.

Kate and Will ended their North American tour in Los Angeles, schmoozing with the best movers and shakers in the entertainment industry at a July 7 cocktail party, and then catching a soccer game with pal David Beckham the very next day! Phew!

A New Addition!

While the world (still!) waits with baited breath for a royal baby, Will and Kate expand their family with a fuzzy friend, a black cocker spaniel named Lupo! The pup joined the royal couple in February 2012, continuing a long tradition of royal hounds, like the Queen’s corgis.

African Cats Film Premiere

Kate and Will attend the UK premiere of Disney’s African Cats. Kate was stunning in her neutral Matthew Williamson frock with turquoise details and Will was dashing in his black suit and red tie. Not to let a little drizzle rain on their parade, the real life prince charming lovingly holds an umbrella over Kate to make sure his lady stays dry on the red carpet. Aww!
