Florence + The Machine have released the first song from the highly anticipated ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ album! Listen and tell us what you think!
The musically gifted red head is at again, making harmonious melodies that are headed straight to the top of the charts. Florence Welch‘s newly released “Breath of Life” is the first track from Snow White and the Huntsman and it perfectly fits the dark, mystical movie.
Florence says she based the cinematic single after Queen Ravenna, who is played in the movie by Charlize Theron.
“The Queen is just this incredible character; so hungry for life but so dead inside,” Welch said of the inspiration behind the song. “She has this thirst for youth and for life, but for what kind of life? This darkness, but she’s so beautiful, so it’s this kind of juxtaposition between beauty and, ultimately, death.”
