'American Idol' Results: Did Phillip Phillips Survive First Bad Week?

Yes, he did! In fact, Phillip Phillips wasn’t even in the bottom three, despite a rocky performance the night before. Can you believe it?

Phillip Phillips defied the American Idol odds once again this week, staying out of the bottom three and leaving Elise Testone, Skylar Laine and Hollie Cavanagh at risk of being cut by America.

Skylar wowed the judges last night with her rendition of a lesser known Queen song, which seemed to help her, as she was quickly saved. Hollie’s decision to sing Miley Cyrus‘s “The Climb” was a good one, as she was safe as well — which left Elise to say her goodbye.

We’re Elise fans here at HollywoodLife.com, so it’s sad to see her go. However, she seemed okay with the decision and acted ready to be done.

Elise, we’re so sad to see you go! Not to worry, girl, you have an amazing talent and you have a grand adventure ahead! Not sure what people are thinking! I can’t believe Jessica, Holly, and Joshua are still there! I really thought it would be down to you, Phillip, and Colton. Go figure! You rock! All the best to come!

Elise and Phillip are the most exciting to watch on the show. It is ashame that Elise was not recognized, but she knows she is talented and is true to herself. These 2 are not cookie cutter like the supposed music icons of today and all music sounds the same with no originality – these 2 are true unique talents and mesmerizing to watch.

Others may have a ‘voice’ but nothing to go along with it and does nothing for the song – Phillip and Elise could sing the phone book and it would be amazing – I cannot wait for a cd to be released on either or both of them and I would take a paycheck to go see them in person.

REAL TALENT WHICH THE MUSIC INDUSTRY DOESN’T HAVE ANYMORE!
PUT ELISE NEXT TO A KATIE PERRY – PLEASE – NO COMPARISON AND A NIKKI MINOJ – THIS IS WHAT THE MUSIC INDUSTRY CALLS TALENT TODAY – ITS THE KIDS BUYING – SURELY ADULTS KNOW BETTER……HOPE FOR ONCE THIS IDOL SHOW DOES JUSTICE FOR PHIL – HE SHOULD RUN AWAY WITH IT!
