Selena Gomez fans better brace themselves for Spring Breakers, the edgy indie film she just finished filming in Florida alongside James Franco, Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens — it’s nothing like what we’ve seen the innocent starlet in before!

In this new video by Entertainment Tonight Canada, Selena, 19, dishes about the edgy film, saying she’s been telling moms to stick to her TV show and not let their kids watch her in the movie. In fact, the stars think it will be rated R, (if not NC-17, they joke).

I am such a huge fan of selena gomez, she is such an insperation to everyone and yes this is out of her comfort level (She stated on her you-tube vid.) but it’s just a part/ character. She’s not really going to do all this! So all u haters stop saying stuff like that, she still is a goody-goody (not in a bad way) i meen look at her in the part when she stateing things to the camera, she is completely inosent and beautiful. She has not changed and she is still such a nice girl. U people have to cut her some slack. She’s turing 20 this summer and she has to take on some mature role. And once again this is SelGomezSupport standing up for all the selena haters, because haterz gunna hate but loverz gunna love.

I think we gotta cut some slack for these Disney stars who are trying really hard to break away from their “perfect disney princess” image. They won’t be young forever, they’ll have to explore to get better oppurtunities for their career. They can’t just play wizards or popstars for the rest of their life.

I think that this is a good start to get her away from her Disney image. I like the fact that she’s letting parents know that they should probably keep their kids from watching it until they’re old enough to understand why she did this film after leaving Disney. She has a bright future set for herself. :)
