In keeping with how they live their lives, Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating their one year wedding anniversary as private and low key as possible!
It’s nearly been a year since Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot in front of the entire world April 29, 2011, but don’t expect their one year anniversary to have nearly as much fan fare — or any at all. In fact, the royals are planning to spend their wedding anniversary behind closed doors this year, reports the Daily Mail.
“Kate and William will be spending this weekend privately, a St James’s Palace spokesman confirmed,” the story says.
We love how down to earth Kate, 30, and Prince William, 29, have stayed, despite being one of the most high profile couples in the world. Not only does Kate grocery shop and wear affordable clothing, she values her privacy and cherishes her relationship with William first and foremost.
That said, the couple isn’t escaping the spotlight altogether this month, as they’ll be attending the UK premiere of the documentary African Cats next Wednesday and a reception and a launch for the Imperial War Museum Foundation’s campaign to create new First World War galleries the following day.
Are you impressed with the royals’ laid back way of life, or do you wish they would throw a lavish party celebrating their anniversary?
