Giuliana and Bill’s baby dreams are finally coming true — and they’re revealing all the details in a brand new interview!
Finally some happy baby news for Giuliana Rancic, 36, and husband Bill Rancic! They are expecting their first child, due through a surrogate late this summer, the couple announced on Today on April 23.
Their baby will be born through a gestational surrogate, which means he or she will be Giuliana and Bill’s genetic child. The surrogate is 20 weeks pregnant, so the Rancics will be a family of three around late August.
“Finally!!! RT @BillRancic: The Rancic family is growing….thank you for all the prayers & support!!!” Giuliana tweeted after announcing their happy news on Today.
Because their doctor advised them not to get pregnant for three to five after Giuliana discovered she had breast cancer in September 2011, Bill, 40, says surrogacy was their “last effort.” The couple had frozen only two embryos before they had to stop fertility treatments.
“It was pretty much one of the best moments of my life,” Giuliana said about finding out they’re expecting.”If not THE best moment.”
The couple found their “baby mama,” as Giuliana calls her, through their fertility doctor in Colorado.
“The stars aligned, it was kind of serendipitous,” Bill says in an interview with Eonline. “We found a gestational carrier who was supposed to go work for another family and she became available because the other family ended up getting pregnant naturally.”
“She lives out of state, and we visit her every month,” Giuliana told Ann Curry. “We see the baby growing.”
Aww! So, the the question we all want answered: Will baby Rancic be a boy or a girl?
“We do know [the sex],” but we’re not telling anyone,” Giuliana said. “We’re going to keep it to ourselves for as long as we can.”
We couldn’t be more excited for the Rancics, who have struggled through multiple failed rounds of IVF treatments and a miscarriage. Giuliana discovered she had breast cancer after undergoing a routine mammogram as part of her fertility treatments, and had a double mastectomy in December 2011.

I meant this could not happen to a lovelier (better) couple and maybe one more child by another surrogate is much later to come. I envy G. cause she will never have a stretched out big tummy with stretch marks and a big Plastic surgery bill to boot!
Oh and did I mention 13 hours of painful child birth?

I love their Reality show and can’t wait to visit their new Restaurant. I hear the food and service is great! Unlike most reality shows they are getting so much accomplished and triumphing in their everyday lives and marriages. Hooray for this lovely couple. Just hope they stay humble and G. does not go back to her old controlling ways before her breast cancer surgery. Her sweetness and appreciation of her husband and blessings are so awesome now.

I don’t think I ever have been happier to hear of a impending baby than with this couple. They are truly in love and it shows in all they do. May God bless you and your lovely families. You both come from wonderful families and that comes through also.

You are from Nigeria so maybe there was a mistake in communication but how would you need money to train your own children. There are some things money can’t buy like training children to have good values and kindness toward others. If you meant you need money for education of your children there are many charitable organizations that may help if your child is already applying himself/herself and showing signs of having a good work study ethic.

Have followed your journey from here in Australia and am happy for them she can come across as a bit shallow sometimes and I agree she should have tried harder to put on weight she is stick thin but she didn’t ask for cancer and I feel get best of luck xxx

They shouldn’t have a baby. They really aren’t compatible as a couple and I’m willing to bet they will be divorced someday. He is much nicer and she’s shallow and selfish.

I was just thinking how for most commentors who trash celebrities most all of the time this was such a difference and nice change and then you had to go and ruin it.
Some of their playful bickering is to not be boring and for higher ratings I suspect. However, I agree that G. is much more humble and they both are much more appreciative of one another. I do think their marriage will last because they both are not used to failure or giving up.

Do not listen to what Natalie has to say. She is probably an out Of work 300 lb woman who is jealous of you and your success. You will make a very loving and caring mother because you come from a loving and caring family. You can truly appreciate a child because you have prayed for one for so long. Congratulations to you!

I do not understand having a baby via the surrogate, I honestly can’t believe they want a baby that badly. You think she would get the hint that not easily getting pregnant, plus a miscarriage and cancer means it really is not meant to be. I would feel soo ackward raising a child I didn’t naturally carry then have myself. It is so obvious to everyone that infertility and miscarriage are eminent when a woman’s body is just too thin. You can tell in the arms. Its the body’s natural response to not get pregnant or reject a fetus if it deems itself not fit to. It would have absolutely killed her to gain another 15 pounds (ontop of the 10 she says she gained but not evident to me she did) just to see if getting really plumper helps. It was obvious she would never ever risk her E news job for that since there is high scrutiny in hollywood for any type of weight gain even in the name of pregnancy. Same reason why she went back on camera only 2 weeks after her serious double mascectomy operation out of fear she would lose her job and be replaced for being out too long. Most people are home for at least 3 weeks to a month after that surgery for the simple fact that you can’t lift both your arms alone.

You should cross over into this modern day era. I hear some old critical fools thought airplanes and computers were evil once upon a time. Just why should a woman suffer thru 9 months of childbirth if she does not want to. Who made you the god police of what other people should and should not do?.

I hope the day comes when women will not have to carry their babies in their uterus and be tortured to death with a day’s worth of pain. Maybe the will have invented a gestational carrier type device cause giving birth is painfully horrendous and the belly fat is hard to get rid of for most females.
