Because there’s nothing Donald Trump loves more than Donald Trump, he tasked the two teams to come up with an ad campaign for his fragrance “Success” on the April 22 episode of The Celebrity Apprentice. But by the time the seven remaining contestants convened in the boardroom, not everyone came up roses. In fact, some of them straight-up stunk.

In a dark twist of fate, Aubrey O’Day‘s team won the challenge, which means Aubrey, Teresa Giudice and Arsenio Hall will be back to compete next week.

This left Clay Aiken‘s team behind, and oh boy, did things get awkward. While the team tried to unite under the almighty c-word — I’m of course talking about “consensus” — it didn’t take long for a mini fight to ensue between Clay and Dayana Mendoza. Apparently she had pitched quite a few good ideas during the task, but Clay admitted he “didn’t understand” what she was saying. He followed that up by calling her “aloof.”

Clay surprised everyone by saving Lisa Lampanelli from elimination — my theory about Lisa winning remains plausible for another week — leaving Dayana and Penn Jillette on the chopping block. Penn and Dayana both agreed that Clay was the person who deserved to be fired, though the former American Idol finalist put up a pretty good fight against them. He’s a scrappy one, that Clay.

After an incredibly long debate in the boardroom — which included a few douchey nods from Eric Trump’s hair and teeth — the celebrity fired was:

Penn Jillette!

I don’t even have much to say about this firing because, honestly, I’ve never had much to say about Penn. He’s had some good ideas, and some not so good ideas, but he’s never added much to the show in terms of my enjoyment. He knew it was his time to go, and I think I have to agree with him.

What did YOU think of this week’s Celebrity Apprentice? Was Penn the right person fired? Did Clay make a mistake saving Lisa from elimination? And was I the only one surprised to hear Aubrey actually making sense?! Cast your vote below, then drop a comment with your every thought.
