Will Robert Pattinson Play Finnick Odair In 'Catching Fire'?

It’s official! Robert Pattinson’s ‘Water for Elephants’ director Francis Lawrence will direct ‘Catching Fire’! Is he going to cast R-Patz as the handsome Finnick Odair?

Finnick O’dair is described in Catching Fire to be very tall, have dreamy eyes, a beautiful head of hair and have many women vying for his heart. Robert Pattinson definitely fits the profile.

Lionsgate offered Francis Lawrence the open director position for the Hunger Games sequel — and considering he’s worked with Rob before on Water for Elephants – we wouldn’t be surprised if he brought him on for Catching Fire.

Yes, The Hunger Games franchise has been very public about keeping away from Twilight, but I think it still could be a possibility.

We can only dream!

ROB HAS SO MANY PROJEC IN THE FUTURE..AND THG NOT IN THE LIST….HE IS GROW UP..NOW…AND HE WON’T PLAY SAGA MOVIE ANYMORE… DON’T WORRY EVERYBODY HE HAS HIGH LEVEL NOW….
HE NEED MOVIE WITH HIGH QUALITY…NOT SUCK MOVIE

MAYBE THG COULD USED TWILIGHT MOVIE TO PROMOTE THEY MOVIE
BUT THG COULDN’T USED THE CAST FROM TWILIGHT SPESIAL ROBERT PATTINSON…!

He’s a good actor and quite handsome, but I think there are better choices out there for Finnick – like Alex Pettyfer for example!

I would love nothing more than to see Robert Pattinson cast in the next 2 installments of The Hunger Games but I’m not so sure that it will happen. It would be just too good to be true. Robert has been doing much more grown up rolls. I’m just not sure if you would want to go back to this kind of movie. Of course I think he would be crazy not to if he were to be offered the role.

I like Robert patinson and all but he is not Finnick material. If he is cast which I highly doubt then I won’t be sad when he dies in mo kingjay

Personally I think the actors mentioned below will make good Finnicks but Jensen Ackles would be a good choice too. Go supernatural!

Lionsgate banned the Twilight Cast from being in any of the Hunger Games movies. Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy is being considered for the role of Finnick.. Rob is not…

Seriously? Rob Pattinson a bad actor? Water for Elephants and Remember Me were two of his best roles by far and his charactors were very believable and extremely heart warming. He is much more than just Edward Cullen.

It is not his fault he´s worked with Lawrance before and i´m pretty sure he´s not even trying for the role.

Finnick is supposed to be tall, conventionally handsome, and muscular. He’s from a district whose livelihood depends on the sea. He spends a lot of time hauling nets and swimming in the ocean. He needs to be broad in the shoulders and chest and have strong arms. He’s also in his mid 20′s. These are not qualities Robert Pattinson posesses. He’d just be entirely wrong.

I’d pick Chris Evans myself. Though I agree Garrett Hedlund wouldn’t be a terrible choice.

I’m sorry, but I honestly don’t think that would work. Finnick is supposed to have brownish blond hair and should be really tan. Last time I checked, Robert Pattinson is the complete opposite.

1) he isnt hott like Finn.

What, hollywoodlife? Have you read the book? Finnick is describes as being tanned and bronzed, brown haired, green eyed and very buff with kind of a cocky flirty sense of humor.Picture James Franco, Ian Somerhalder, Zac Efron. Not tall, pale, lanky Rob Pattinson. DOn’t get me wrong, Rob is hot and super sexy. But he would NOT be a good Finnick!

Robert Pattinson is currently starring in a movie going to Cannes, directed by David Cronenberg. I don’t think he’d take a step back to play a 2 bit character in another teen franchise unless it was as a favor to Lawrence. He needs to move forward with his career.

Rob Pattinson in Breaking Dawn 2 is one of the key ingredients of the the $2billion Twilight franchise that became a phenomenon that was about more than money because it also had serious cultural impact for years and years. THG has barely made $600m and hasn’t as yet shown its influence on pop culture outside of a current fad. You need to chill.

No, unfortunately no Academy Award…….yet. For now Rob will just have to be happy with the PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD that was WON last year for Water for Elephants which WON AWARDS for BEST DRAMA MOVIE and BEST BOOK ADAPTATION.

Rob is one of the funniest guys on earth and no one can flirt like he can. He is more buff then ever and would be a perfect candidate for this role…only, I don’t want Rob to be involved with a movies of children killing children..let’s keep him in those juicy, romantic roles and don’t compare Twilight to HG. There are fans for Twilight and fans for HG..let it be like that.
