It looks like Katy is as big a fan of Carly as the rest of us! The spunky pop star and her friends recorded their own version over the weekend, and we think it’s great!
Katy Perry and her friends took a break from checking out bands at Coachella last weekend and recorded a cover of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe”!
Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale‘s video parody of the same song has over 33 million views on YouTube. Katy’s video features a hilarious display of silly dance moves, iPhones and even an inflatable monkey. Halfway through, Katy grabs the camera and starts calling out direction, a nod to Justin and co.’s version.
At the end of the video, following a group exclamation of “Coachella!” Katy takes the camera and says seductively, “We love you Justin Bieber.”
