Angie’s custom-designed sparkler from Brad Pitt is stunning — but so is the one he designed for Jen years ago! Which do YOU like better?

Brad Pitt definitely knows how to chose a ring! He collaborated with jewelers on both of the engagement rings he’s given — most recently to new fiance Angelina Jolie on April 13, AND to Jennifer Aniston back in 1999.

The rings are so different, we can’t decide which we like more!

Any jeweler will tell you that an emerald cut diamond has the least shine of all cuts because it has fewer facets.
Angelina’s ring looks like a block of quartz. On the other hand, Jen’s ring has bling! Lots of shine! Angelina’s may be bigger but give me a ring that shines shines shines anytime!

They are both beautiful women…..and both rings are beautiful in their own way, fitting the woman wearing it.
And the fact that people are still hung up on the fact that Brad and Jen are no longer together…..people come on neither are Will and Jada, Mark and Jen, Seal and Heidi, Russell and Katy, just a few…..GET OVER IT. WE DON’T PICK WHO’S WITH WHO.
In the end it comes down to being with the person who you are in love with.
So with that being said ” Congratulations to Brad and Angelina”

I prefer Jen’s. Because he was not married at the time that he gave it to her. The relationship with Jolie is cheapened because he cheated. “Old fashioned” way of thinking, perhaps, but society could use a bit more of it. Jolie is nuts, and collecting children does not make her some sort of saint.

Angelinas looks like it was designed by an ape xx it shows that brad cared more bout Jen than he does about angelina I mean that isnt hard but it’s true. Plus jens is amazing and is really what I want for my engagement ring xxxx plus the ring look is improved by how beautiful one of the women is. I feel like ive seen angies ring before. it isnt THAT original. So I dont get what takes a year to design a ring. Its ugly. although Id take it i guess. I like Jens better , but hers is no better..although costs more so in turn makes it better! lol Angie is looking sick and worse for wear… she just looks very skinny in an unhealthy way.. not sure what it is. haggard.. like stressed i think. no glow. i cant wait to see how it pans out. maybe some other chick will come steal brad now once they are married. cuz as we all know marriage ruins relationship LOL

vanitys name is Holie-staged photo op for the paps. Narcissist all the way–desperate leg! An older woman walking around fashing a huge diamond looks pathetic w/ sleazy tatts. Felt sorry for Pax mom on the tv interview. she did’t look like she is on drugs and Pax looks just like her.

Both rings were unattractive, but Jennifer’s was less unattractive than Angelina’s. When I see Angelina’s ring I can’t help but think she deserves better. But I hope she is happy with it.

I think Angelina is beautiful and I love Angie’s ring. But then it’s to a persons taste. But Jen is beautiful too!

I an sorry I have always hoped hen and brad would get back together I do not like Angie and this rung brad bought for Angie looks like something you would get at Walmart for five bucks note even though I don’t like Angie that doesn’t mean anything I would like to say that you guys make a huge deal saying that Jen is jealous and Angie hates Jen acting like they shouldn’t be if they had lowlifes like you composting everything about them to the other

I actually think they’re both really ugly. Brad is supposed to be really into architecture and design, I’m surprised he couldn’t do better. Jen’s looks like a swirl of poo, and Angie’s looks cheap and unremarkable. I like both actresses and despise the whole TEAM ANGIE / TEAM JEN rivalry the media delight in perpetuating. I just think both are horrid, especially given how expensive they must be.

Re: the design of Angelina’s ring – Brad used all emerald cut diamonds in the ring, which because of their facet design require a much cleaner, brighter diamond (that, plus its size make it much rarer and thus more expensive). Additionally, he used a center emerald cut and all emerald cuts down the side but the design does not show prongs holding the diamonds in the mounting – instead a clean design was produced without prongs breaking up the line of the diamonds down the side, which takes skilled design and craftsmanship. Like it or don’t like it, but at least know what you’re talking about when it comes to design esthetic and craftsmanship.

Thanks for this! I’m interested in jewels and jewellery, so this was really interesting to read. As regards to the question of whose ring I prefer: I hated Angelina’s ring the moment I saw it because it was so horrid-looking and looked like a watch (my mom has a similar watch-designed ring she covets for originality of design, which is just as ugly to me) BUT I hate sparkly diamonds even more (which my mom can’t understand either), so on any given day, if I had to choose between the two, I’d definitely take Angelina’s ring.
