Wow! Not all of the 15 kids are hers — She is a surrogate for 11 children! Can you believe it?

Meredith Olafson has given birth to 15 babies, yes, 15! But only four of them are her own. The 47-year-old private nurse from Fargo, North Dakota is also a gestational surrogate, TODAY reports. For the last 16 years she has helped couples who couldn’t carry a baby, but on March 29 she gave birth to her 15th and last child due to her age and 6 C-sections.

She has carried three singles, one set of twins and two sets of triplets for other people, but has carried four of her own kids, ages 16 to 24 with her husband Jay Olafson. That’s 90 months of being pregnant!

“When you see those parents’ faces when they see that ultrasound for the first time and they see that heart beat beating – or they get to hear that heartbeat – that’s priceless right there,” Meredith says.

The ease of her pregnancies has made it possible for her to give birth 15 times. She admits she has never had morning sickness, hardly gains weight, is able to work right up to the delivery and delivers the baby in less than an hour and 15 minutes! She says her shortest delivery took 20 minutes!

She carries the babies for nine months, but barely takes any of the credit. She only contributes her womb and that’s it.

“Those parents are the actual mother and father and so the mindset for you at that time is you know you’re handing them their child,” she explains. “It has nothing to do with you whatsoever. It does make it a lot easier.”

So after 15 births and 90 months of being pregnant, she is “officially retiring the uterus.”

What a thoughtful woman for enduring all of those pregnancies for other people!

As long as all the babies were healthy and delivered w/ out incident. Who cares how many she had. I did it 3 times and never again!! So kudos to her for being such a trooper and making so many families complete and happy.

Ok 15 kids and the big deal is what. My grandmother gave birth to 13 kids, all single births, all natural births.
