Justin Bieber’s ‘F–k You’ T-Shirt: He Wore It To Look ‘Tougher’

Justin Bieber is growing up and he wants the world to know it! The 18-year-old heartthrob enjoyed a leisurely brunch with his lady love, Selena Gomez, on April 14, and he was wearing an attention-grabbing t-shirt. Is Justin showing off a new souvenir or shedding his wholesome image?

“It seems like the young pop star is trying to break his innocent teen sweetheart perception and take on a tougher, in-your-face persona to broaden his fan base,” Kate Laufer, an Image and Branding Expert, EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “Justin has definitely been flexing his muscles lately, so to speak, through gruesome editorial features, and now, clothes adorned with profanity.”

Justin appeared beaten and bloody — and later being comforted by a scantily-clad swimsuit model — in the April/May issue of Complex.

While it is always important to grow with your target audience, Kate worries that Justin’s bad-boy behavior might hurt his innocent image. “Justin needs to be careful to ensure that he isn’t isolating the young fans (and their parents) who have been with him from the beginning.”

OK. Let’s face it. I’m not the biggest Justin Bieber fan but He. Is. A. Legal. Adult. I’m fourteen and though I choose not to swear all the time because I PERSONALLY feel there are so many more educated ways to express feelings, everyone I know starts mouthing off the second a teacher walks out of the room. It’s natural and the t-shirt’s words are barely noticeable anyway. Calm down – nobody cares when a run-of-the-mill person wears that type of shirt. For goodness’ sake, don’t ruin fame for the boy.

I completely agree….what are all of the little girls’ mommies (Cody from Jimmy Kimmel Live!!!) and the kids going to think? I have been supporting Justin Bieber since his first debut, and I always will. Never say never, and remember the little ones. :)

It’s a t-shirt guys, half of the time people don’t read what it says and when they do they don’t think “oh, I’ll wear that when I’m angry at someone”.

Just because he wore a shirt saying f–k you on it doesn’t mean he’s actually saying it.

Sometimes I think you guys are just too sad, you take everything literally just to get some ‘news’ and even worse you’ve made it about his fans, when he tells them repeatedly that he loves them. Are you trying to turn people against him for something as innocent as that?!
