The country singer is a mom for a second time — congrats!
Mindy McCready gave birth to son on April 9! She reportedly expected to have twins with her boyfriend David Wilson, but she welcomed just one new baby they named Zayne.
The drama surrounding Mindy, 36, giving birth to only one baby instead of twins was clarified by E! News: “At the time of the initial announcement surrounding Mindy’s pregnancy, in consideration of her size, Mindy was certain she was carrying twins; a misinterpreted sonogram seemed to support her feelings and excitement.”
“It was a long and trying pregnancy; we’re so happy he’s here. There are no words to convey how happy we are,” she said in a statement to PEOPLE. “Zayne is truly a blessing and a joy.”
Her first child, six-year-old Zander McCready, was fathered by her ex-boyfriend Billy McKnight.
