While Khloe is busy promoting the Kardashian brand, Lamar is sitting at home unemployed. If things don’t change soon, a relationship expert says it could hurt their union!
It’s never easy when one person in a relationship is unemployed and the other is not, and unfortunately, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are realizing just that! “For the average couple, it can impact a relationship significantly when one person loses their job, but the magnitude can be greater for those like Lamar who are in the public eye,” Amy Levine, a sex and relationship expert, EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com.
Both Khloe and Lamar have reportedly been feeling depressed since Lamar parted ways from the Dallas Mavericks earlier this week. “Often getting laid off can lead to a depressed state, which is hard on the person who is out of work and difficult for the partner too,” Amy acknowledges. “For men, particularly those whose identity is tied to their profession, it can be emasculating and embarrassing.”
Even if Lamar doesn’t get another job playing basketball professionally, Khloe earns well-enough money for the couple to live comfortably. However, Amy cautions that “If the partner of the person out of work feels like the other is not carrying their weight, so to speak, it can be a source of contention and lead to resentment.”
And so the question remains… will Khloe and Lamar’s relationship suffer if Lamar remains unemployed for a lengthy amount of time?
To show her support, Amy suggests that Khloe let Lamar know that she fully stands behind him during this difficult time in his career. “It will be helpful to encourage him to do what he loves and to follow his heart, which may or may not be playing professional basketball,” Amy says. “Also, just to remind him that it’s the down times in life that can serve as a vehicle to catapult us to the top.”

Honestly whether lamar odom is unemployed or not should kloe’s love or feelings change for him because of that senario.If so than that relationship from the start was and is very shallow and is not worth trying to save on lamar’s part for the simple fact that kloe only wants to be with this guy because of his status (i.e) bieng on sports center every night or on the cover of sports magazines everywhere.Because as the article states she makes enough money to support him & herself very well,but by no means do am I implying that she should have to do so.
