Brangelina’s engagement will make their adopted kids feel safe and stable, experts say. We’re so happy for the soon-to-be newlyweds!
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s marriage won’t only be good for them as a couple — it will be the best thing for their five tots!
“Marriage is an identity that the entire family identifies with, not just the couple,” Family Therapist Dr. Phil Dembo tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “For children, especially adopted children, being connected as a family identity allows for a feeling of safety and stability.”
Brad, 48, and Angelina,36, are the parents of five kids: Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and Knox and Vivienne, 3. A committed union between the two will be extremely settling for Maddox and Pax — considering they’re adopted.
“In the case of Angelina and Brad’s kids where half of them are adopted it can give them a more secure feeling that both parents will be around because they have this commitment to be together,” Christy Whitman , New York Times best-selling author and creator of The Enlightened Kid Program tells HollywoodLife.com. ”Children need a sense of consistency in their environment to feel secure within themselves. When a couple gets married it gives the kids a sense of comfort and security. It allows the child to feel that there are boundaries. Any fears of mom or dad not being around or leaving, because they are not married (when our society says they “should” be married) goes away,”
While details of their wedding are unknown, it is confirmed the two are officially engaged. And we’re happy to hear this will only mean great things for their kids.

Brad & Angelina are drama hounds you don’t have to be married to be stable loving parents/step parents ask Franco Nero he and Vanessa Redgrave didn’t marry until their son and her daughters from her first marriage were married/divorced with children and Natasha Joely & Carlo grew up stable happy and well adjusted. If you’ve ever seen Franco in interviews when Natasha’s name is mentioned he becomes very emotional because he loved her dearly even though she wasn’t his biologically and same goes for Joely. thankfully Angelina’s never had a miscarriage like Vanessa did in 1971 with her and Franco’s 2nd son. because now a days they wouldn’t get privacy to grieve for that like Vanessa & Franco did

Marriage is not security to children. Parents that love, respect & honour each other is more to a child then a big family wedding. This is Brads 2nd & Angies 3rd wedding. Why bother. I was 6 when my parents got married, all I cared about was the dress & cake. I hope they don’t make it a big deal, it would be tasteless, I sincerely hope Angies gains weight & doesn’t bother wearing white. Good luck to them.
