From Miley flashing her ta-tas, to Rihanna eating dinner in nothing but a trench coat — celebs have pushed the envelope once again by practicing exhibitionist-like behavior. Experts weigh in on Hollywood’s latest, strangest trend!

Rihanna was photographed on April 11 headed to dinner wearing nothing — down under.

Aside from sanitary concerns, while this is very strange behavior — eating dinner basically naked in public– it’s not completely shocking coming from the openly sexual Rihanna, 23.

“This is Rihanna pushing the envelope once again.  She prides herself on her avant garde sexuality. I don’t see any severe pathology behind this behavior.  However she is a bit of an exhibitionist, but I suspect for artistic and media reasons,”  says Dr. Jeff Gardere, chief contributor to HealthGuru.com. “It’s a way to assert their individuality, independence and creativity as well as express any psychological angst.”

But why would Rihanna, like Miley Cyrus who has flashed her hoo-ha and boobs all in one week, bare all when they know it garners negative media attention?

Exactly because that’s what it does: garner attention.

“Well, I think in part it gets them attention. So part of their business is getting attention.  To some extent it makes them feel like they exist, like they’re important and they matter,” psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig tell us. “An exhibitionist is somebody who likes to flaunt, and gets excited by the attention and being noticed. And I guess doing something normal doesn’t get you noticed, so they’ll push the limits. There’s a bit of charge in baring or being slightly naughty. “

Well, clearly these women get a high off baring all, but if for some reason Rihanna was doing this to specifically grab Chris Brown’s attention, Dr. Gilda says she should stop now.

“Women who flaunt their bodies entrap the wrong qualities in a man.  These are the women who come crying to me, complaining ‘all he wants me for is sex!’  Eventually, the heat gets cool.  Where can the relationship go from there,” says  Dr. Gilda Carle, Today.com’s 30 Second Therapist and a relationship expert from drgilda.com.
