No matter how you personally feel right now about Kim Kardashian, you have to admit that a reality show about her hot romance with Kanye West, would make for MUST-SEE-TV!
She’s got a soap-opera-worthy romantic history, he’s got an ego the SIZE of New York City and together, they have as many haters as fans, but come on – wouldn’t you tune in to see Kim and Kanye‘s ups and downs together?
Hollywoodlife.com is exclusively reporting that there is talk at both E! and from Team Kardashian, about the possibility of a Kim & Kanye Take New York show! We have a source at each place confirming that the idea is under discussion AND we also hear that Kanye West would be on board for it!
We hear that Kanye is “definitely going to make some appearances on the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, starting on May 20. “He’s all for it. He loves being in the spotlight and getting so much attention,” says the source.
He loves the idea of a TV show so much, he “once told Kim that he would love to star in his OWN reality show,” the insider tells HollywoodLife.com.
That’s like music to the ears of the publicity-savvy Kardashians, who are always looking to expand their TV empire. AND a Kim & Kanye Take New York show, would exploit the already HUGE publicity that Kim and Kanye’s dates are generating, plus take pressure off pregnant Kourtney, to be in her own spinoff for a season, with a baby on the way and then two very young children to care for, points out another source.
The Kardashians are apparently in “awe of Kanye’s celebrity” and they should be. The guy is a bona fide A-Lister and publicity magnet just like Kim. Aside from infamously dissing Taylor Swift when she won the award for Best Female Video at the MTV Video Awards, in November 2009, he has spoken out repeatedly in the most controversial ways.
When naked pictures of him were released on the Internet, did he freak? complain? cry foul? NO! Kanye was only upset that media outlets cropped his photos saying “it’s on par with damaging a piece of ancient architecture.”
Kanye has never been afraid to speak up. After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans he announced during the national fundraising telethon that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
The guy is outspoken and outrageous. He has tons of famous friends from Justin Bieber, to Beyonce to Nicki Minaj, who he could no doubt convince to come onto his reality show with Kim, he’s funny – he’s already had a puppet TV show (Alligator Boots) – he’s a HUGE spender – something he has in common with Kim and he’s unpredictable – did I mention Taylor Swift and the MTV VMAs?
Kanye plus Kim Kardashian, canoodling and living a fabulous, romantic life together – yes, that would add up to great TV.
So, let’s hope these Kim & Kanye Take New York discussions move from talking to filming. I’d watch – wouldn’t you, Hollywoodlifers?
