Jessica Simpson: Here's Your 'Last Chance To See Me Fat'

Jessica Simpson Fat

Hooray Jessica for having a great attitude about gaining 50 pounds while you’re pregnant! She couldn’t help laughing about it!

Jessica Simpson loved her April 2012 cover of Elle so much that she doesn’t want anyone to miss out on seeing her pregnant body in all its glory. “Last chance to see me ‘fat’ aka PREGNANT on the cover of Elle :)”Jessica tweeted April 5. “I loved this shoot, only on stands for a few more days!!!”

The Fashion Star judge has come under fire from critics about her weight gain during pregnancy. All expecting mothers get a little bigger, but Jessica may be in dangerous territory not just for her health, but for her baby’s as well.

“Her doctors have told her to expect a 10 lb baby,” Dr. Tara Solomon, owner at The Women’s Wellness Center of South Florida, told HollywoodLife.com on March 27. “The problem with large babies is that they can have respiratory problems and problems maintaining their glucose or sugar levels. I usually try to keep my patients at a 25 lb weight gain maximum in order to prevent a possible traumatic delivery with a large child. A pregnant woman should be eating about 1200 calories a day to keep up with baby’s nutritional needs. She has gone overboard for sure.”

Considering her diet of cheesecake for breakfast and fried chicken for lunch, it looks like Jessica’s enjoying her bigger appetite to the fullest. And an unlikely supporter has Jessica’s back against those critics: former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin!

“I would have wanted to punch [Jessica's critics] in the neck,” Sarah shared while co-hosting Today on April 3. “It’s none of anybody else’s business how much weight I would gain.”

Whoa! No need to get violent, Mama Bear.

Jessica does plan to lose at least 50 pounds after she gives birth using Weight Watchers, as the popular weight loss program has offered Jessica $3 million to become its next spokesperson.

We’re glad to see Jessica has a sense of humor about all her critics — but let’s hope she takes better care of herself and the baby after the birth.

This is the second time I’ve seen an article on this site where some “doctor” is recommending a 1200 calorie/day intake for pregnant women. 1200 calories/day is a general recommendation for women who are trying to lose weight. This is dangerous information and really should be taken down or corrected.

Is Dr. Tara Solomon a moron?? Yes, if you’re OBESE you shouldn’t gain more than 25 lbs. Doctors say that if you’re NORMAL sized you should gain between 25-35 lbs. If you’re underweight, more. I spoke to my doctor today and he said I was a bit underweight before I got pregnant, so I’d be okay to gain 40 (still would like to stick to around 30). My girlfriend gained 40 and all of it was gone a few months later. 1200 calories a day is only enough if you’re NOT pregnant and NOT active (and trying to lose weight).

god leave Jessica alone she was firing back at the detractors that have said she gained too much weight during her pregnancy. when your in the public eye you have to learn to laugh at yourself sometimes otherwise life is misserable. try suffering from polyhydramnios like she does before you take pot shots at her
