'The Borgias' Preview: Season 2 Has Even More Sex & Power

One of the best shows on television returns — and things have become even wilder for this historical family!

Jeremy Irons is back as the power-hungry Pope Alexander VI, whose sexual appetite goes into overdrive on season two of The Borgias! Meanwhile, his mistress Giulia Farnese (Lotte Verbeek) freaks out as she realizes her fate won’t be any better than Vannozza dei Cattanei (Joanne Whalley), the mother of the pope’s four children!

Meanwhile, daughter Lucrezia Borgia (Holliday Grainger) is loving her illicit baby, her brothers Cesare Borgia (François Arnaud) and Juan Borgia (David Oakes) take sibling rivalry to a whole new level, and the evil Prince of Naples (Augustus Prew) has met his match with the devious King Of France (Michel Muller). It’s never a dull moment with the totally amoral family — the Borgias!
