Poor Khloe! Lamar takes his frustrations out on his wife after his devastating trade from his beloved L.A. Lakers! Can their marriage survive the strain?
On the April 8 episode of Khloe & Lamar, Lamar Odom copes with the emotional toll of saying goodbye to the Lakers, plus the intense pressure to prove himself with the Dallas Mavericks during intense three-a-day workouts — and he takes it out on his super supportive wife!
At the start of the episode, Khloe Kardashian packs up the couple’s L.A. home, with mom Kris Jenner and stepdad Bruce Jenner stopping by to see her off. Kris breaks down in tears and voices her concern for Khloe about moving her life to Dallas to support Lamar.
“We all know that you’re a strong girl, and you have to be there for everybody else,’ Kris says. “But who’s going to be there for Khloe?”
But always-determined Khloe hits the ground running in her mission to find the couple’s perfect Dallas apartment. She takes care of all the details so Lamar can focus on basketball – including finding “the most important piece of furniture,” a Tempur-Pedic mattress big enough for Lamar’s 6-foot-10 frame, which is no easy task!
Thankfully, Khloe gets a warm welcome from everyone she meets in the new city. She even makes a friend with the salesman at the mattress store, calling him her “Santa” when he throws two pillows into the deal for free.
Lamar is exhausted from practice and seems totally uninterested in helping Khloe choose an apartment. Though she puts on a brave face for Lamar and jokes about how much “fun” she’s having house-hunting, she admits it’s overwhelming to do on her own.
“I totally get it,” she says. “Emotionally, Lamar is done. He’s drained, but I need a little bit of help.”
Tensions run high when Lamar bickers with Khloe while they check out a potential apartment. He wants to ensure his ever-present buddy, Jamie Sangouthai, has a place to stay when he visits Dallas. The issue causes a rift when Khloe calls Jamie a “distraction” and doesn’t understand why he is Lamar’s priority at a time like this.
‘I’m out here busting my a** and you’re picking a fight with me about Jamie?’ she asks Lamar.
In a heated moment, Khloe tells Lamar she’d “be arrested” for the things she thinks about doing to him when she’s mad – before realizing that the fight Lamar picked had nothing to do with Jamie, and everything to do with the stress he’s feeling.
The pressure gets the best of Lamar during the Mavericks’ season opener, and he doesn’t play his best. Khloe tries to lift his spirits with a romantic night in at their new place, complete with rose petals, candles, and wine. But Lamar is so down about his performance, he heads straight to bed.
At that point Khloe breaks down and calls mom Kris in tears.
‘I feel like I’m trying and it’s not going the way that I thought it was going to go,’ she tells Kris.
When Lamar finds Khloe upset, he comforts her and admits that he’s starting realize the move to Dallas is tough on Khloe, too.
“I don’t like to see you cry,’ Lamar says, giving her a kiss. “You make me happy.”

Odom, Odom, Odom, you wimped out on the Mav’s and your career. You are a professional basketball player no matter where you play. Khloe collected her fears, packed up the house, and joined you in Dallas. Khloe take care of yourself first and Odom second – in that order, please. Odom is going to have to decide if he is a ball player or a reality star (usually short lived). I hope he choses ball!
