A source tells HollywoodLife.com they’re ‘not surprised’ about Amanda’s arrest: ‘It was only a matter of time.’

Oh no! Amanda Bynes was arrested April 6 at 3 a.m. in West Hollywood after police determined she was unfit to be behind the wheel of her car. Authorities tell HollywoodLife.com that Amanda, 26, was trying to drive past a cop car on Robertson Blvd., but ended up hitting it, which is when police pulled her over.

She was released at 10:30 a.m. and her bail was set at $5,000.

A source close to Amanda tells us they’re “not surprised” to hear about Amanda’s arrest, adding that “it was only a matter of time.” Amanda has apparently been disappointed with her career trajectory and has calmed her anxiety by drinking. She was hoping her role in Easy A would result in more offers, but it just didn’t happen for her.

Ironically, Amanda tweeted lyrics from an M.I.A. song last month that seem to suggest she’s embraced a new bad-girl lifestyle: “Live fast die young bad girls do it well!”

We really hope this isn’t the start of a downward spiral for Amanda; She’s one of the good ones!

Hollywood is not an easy job for some…..it has lots of demands on women more than men…..this young person is crying for some help and i hope she gets it as she is a good actress…….

sigh… if she can’t get good attention, i guess she’ll settle for bad. and, getting to celebrity justice- i know someone that did that and ended up with a felony on their record. i think it counted as a hit and run or something (note, they had to pull her over- which means she didn’t stop of her own volition), and b/c it was a police rig… may have just been b/c he had a higher alcohol content, but, long/short, i’m sure she won’t get the full/appropriate punishment that someone else would get.

Shes another has been. Her acting career is done. There are just so many better actors out there. No excuse ever for deciding to drink and drive.

Amanda, I will be praying for you, there’s no need to drink & do drugs even if you haven’t been called for many roles. You should enjoy your time off & keep safe baby girl!!
