Ryan revealed that he’ll be joining the NBC 2012 Olympic coverage team. Is it the right fit?
Matt Lauer you are safe… for now. Ryan Seacrest revealed to Matt that he’ll be joining the NBC family while continuing his role at E! “The first assignment will be to join the primetime team for the Olympics on NBC,” Ryan said on Today on April 4.
“I see you doing this as long as you want to,” Seacrest answered when Matt asked if he sees himself in a job like the Today co-anchor.
And what about Ryan’s other duties, most important hosting American Idol?
“I plan to say there,” Ryan said, although no deal between him and Fox singing-competition is in place yet.
Along with hosting Idol, Ryan also has an executive producer credit on all of E!’s Kardashian series.
“I’ve worked with the E! network for years and NBC Universal and E! are in the same family. The plan is for me to join the NBC family and continue to have role at the E! network,” Ryan said.
