Ryan Seacrest Olympics

Ryan revealed that he’ll be joining the NBC 2012 Olympic coverage team. Is it the right fit?

Matt Lauer you are safe… for now. Ryan Seacrest revealed to Matt that he’ll be joining the NBC family while continuing his role at E! “The first assignment will be to join the primetime team for the Olympics on NBC,” Ryan said on Today on April 4.

Rumors of Ryan replacing Matt on Today have swirled for months. But Ryan won’t be filling his shoes quite yet, unless Matt turns down $25 million.

“I see you doing this as long as you want to,” Seacrest answered when Matt asked if he sees himself in a job like the Today co-anchor.

And what about Ryan’s other duties, most important hosting American Idol?

“I plan to say there,” Ryan said, although no deal between him and Fox singing-competition is in place yet.

Along with hosting Idol, Ryan also has an executive producer credit on all of E!’s Kardashian series.

“I’ve worked with the E! network for years and NBC Universal and E! are in the same family. The plan is for me to join the NBC family and continue to have role at the E! network,” Ryan said.

Can Ryan handle anymore jobs? And what will Englishman Simon Cowell think of Ryan’s British invasion this summer?

I do enjoy the manner in which you have framed this matter and it does present me some fodder for consideration. Nonetheless, coming from everything that I have witnessed, I really hope as the responses stack on that individuals continue to be on point and not get started upon a tirade of the news of the day. Yet, thank you for this superb point and though I do not necessarily agree with it in totality, I respect your standpoint.
