Katy is everywhere lately! Fresh off a killer performance at the 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards, she jet-setted halfway across the world for her first-ever live show in India. She’s unstoppable!
Katy Perry shared the stage with Bollywood stars during the super glitzy opening ceremonies that launched the cricket season in India. Read on to find out what else she’s up to while she’s there!
Katy performed at an April 3 event that kicked off the Indian Premier League’s cricket games. Though she admitted she was wiped after the long flight, the pop star couldn’t have been more excited to be there — even though the trip probably brings back lots of reminders of her lavish Indian wedding to Russell Brand in 2010.
“After what felt like longest flight ever I’m finally here!” she tweeted April 2. “Honored 2 play CHENNAI 2morrow! This is my 1ST performance in INDIA! #thankuINDIA.”
But after some Indian food and meditation, Katy said she was ready to enjoy the rest of her trip.
“Almost fell asleep in my curry last night, no joke,” she tweeted after the show. “Woke up feeling SO much better after a fresh meditate…feels appropriate being in INDIA.”
Get some rest, Katy! We think you’re SO brave to go there in the midst of dealing with your breakup!
