Barely a year after he was hired by Current TV, Keith Olbermann was terminated from his $50 million contract and replaced by Eliot Spitzer. Can you believe it?

Keith Olbermann was hired by Current TV to breathe new life into the struggling network last year, and in a shocking move March 30, was terminated from his contract and replaced by former New York governor Eliot L. Spitzer!

The outraged political commentator lashed out on Twitter after learning the news, claiming that Current TV was in the wrong and didn’t have the right to fire him from his five year deal.

“The claims against me in Current’s statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently,” Keith — who famously didn’t get along with his bosses, Al Gore and Joel Hyattwrote.

He wasn’t given a chance to even say goodbye to his viewers, as Eliot took over the show today.

Are you shocked by what happened?
