One of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s old friends, Madison Pettis, tells HollywoodLife.com the stars have both stayed humble, gracious and sweet, despite their mega success. That’s so great to hear!
As two of the most famous celebrities in the world, you’d think Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez would act a little different than they did when they were just normal kids, but that’s not the case at all. “Fame has not changed Justin,” a friend of the couple tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Madison Pettis,13, spoke to us at the GBK Gift Lounge for the Kids Choice Awards at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles March 30 and dished about her relationship with Justin, 18, and Selena, 19.
“I started acting when I was five and have known Selena since I was seven,” she said. “We grew up in the same town in Texas and had the same acting coach. I see her all the time and she is the nicest person. She has the biggest heart.”
She met Justin a few years later, when he was 15. “It was right before he got famous,” Madison — who is starring in a new Nickelodeon series called Life With Boys that debuts later this year — remembered. “We both support this charity called Jump Start, which helps teach kids to read before they go to school. We were in New York on The Today Show together talking about the charity. Afterward, we spent the day together and went up the Empire State Building. He was so sweet and nice.”
The actress added, “I have kept in touch with him and he is still the same person. He hasn’t changed at all. He is super sweet.”
We always love hearing stories like this that just reaffirm what we now of Selena and Justin — they are legitimately nice people!

Well, I know Selena has definitely not changed. She is one of the most kindest and down-to-earth celebrities in the world. At least she doesn’t have this incessant need to be the center of attention all the time unlike some people or pull stupid stunts to get attention.
