JetBlue Pilot Charged

A day after he threatened to crash a flight from JFK to Las Vegas, JetBlue pilot Clayton Osbon is being charged with interfering with a flight crew. Do you think he should be punished?

JetBlue pilot Clayton Osbon did the unthinkable, when he had a mental breakdown and threatened to crash the plane he was captaining March 27 and now the 49-year-old veteran pilot is facing 20 years in prison and a hefty fine, reports RadarOnline.

Osbon is being charged for interfering with a flight crew after he had a panic attack, started pounding on the lavatory door when a female passenger was inside, then started screaming about 9/11, al Queda and more. He was eventually tackled by several passengers, who held him down until the co-pilot landed the plane in Amarillo, Texas.

“If convicted, Osbon faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine,” reports RadarOnline. “The U.S. Attorney’s office has 30 days to present the matter to a grand jury for indictment.”
