A source close to Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli tells HollywoodLife.com Jennie is trying to ‘look like the victim’ in her divorce to help the ratings on her upcoming reality show. Can you believe that?
Jennie Garth has spoken out publicly about her failed marriage to Peter Facinelli and even blamed him for the divorce. However, an insider close to the former pair reaffirms to us it was actually Jennie’s fault for the split.
“Jennie is trying to look like the victim,” our source says. “It’s pretty convenient that she is playing that card now, considering her new show [Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country] is premiering around the corner.”
The insider adds, “Jennie was jealous over Peter’s career and that ultimately led to its demise. Now she’s trying to turn a negative into a positive by improving her career, since she can’t improve her marriage.”
The 39-year-old actress acted like a damsel in distress in her interview with People, which hit stands March 28.
“I tried everything I could to save our marriage,” Jennie told the mag. “I was very resistent. I didn’t want it to happen. He did what he needed to do. … Of course I wish he had wanted to try harder, try again, try something else.”
Do you think Jennie actually tried her hardest, or did her jealousy break up her marriage?
