The 475,000 signatures on the MPAA petition to overturn the ‘R’ rating for ‘Bully’ was a total success!
The award-winning documentary, Bully, which opens in theaters March 30, will welcome all ages to see the film, according to change.org.
The movie caused tons of controversy when it first received an “R” rating — totally dismissing the audience to whom it’s targeted. Several celebrities signed the petition to the MPAA asking to overturn the rating, including Justin Bieber, Ellen DeGeneres and Demi Lovato.
Justin even spoke publicly about it with TMZ and said: “I think Bully can serve a purpose, there’s more to it than just the curse words,” Justin said. “At the end of the day, they don’t know the thing [bullying] that it’s doing to the kids in schools.”
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are you happy the rating was overturned?

Nonsense. MPAA didn’t change the rating, due to the petition. Harvey Weinstein decided to release it unrated.
