Victoria Beckham Talks Perfect Dress in ‘Vogue’ & Panicking Before The Royal Wedding

Victoria Beckham shares how she created the perfect dress for her fashion line and how she managed to dress for the biggest wedding ever! Find out what she says in the April Issue of ‘Vogue’!

Victoria Beckham, 37, seems to have it all…a successful fashion empire, check! Gorgeous husband, check! Killer body, check! But in April’s Vogue, she keeps things down-to-earth.

When Victoria created her fashion line, she said she “wanted clothes—whether a pair of jeans or an evening dress—that I would wear myself. That’s the final test. Would I wear it? If I would, I put it out there, and if I wouldn’t, I don’t.” Well, if that’s what she is doing, obviously she is doing it right!

Her “sucky-sucky” (signature pencil-skirted sheath with figure-hugging elasticity) dress is evidence! “It gives [my customers] a little waist. It’s great on the boobs, it’s great on the bottom,” says Victoria. “We spend a lot of time perfecting our fit. My aim is to create the perfect dress!”

During her pregnancy with Harper, she admits she wasn’t in tip-top shape for her “sucky-sucky” dress, and it couldn’t have been a worse time for Victoria. Why? Because the Beckhams received an invitation to The Royal Wedding!

“First, obviously, we were very, very excited,” she said about getting an invite — but then she immediately began to panic. “What do you wear to the biggest wedding ever — when you’re enormously pregnant?”

Thankfully, she pulled off a look from her collection and looked fabulous, baby bump or not!

“I’ve always had to make the best of what I’ve got,” she added. And she’s got a lot! Props, Victoria!

I have never seen this woman smile. Not with her family, not in photos…never.
