‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ director Rupert Sanders says Kristen Stewart is ‘far away’ from Bella Swan and is ‘kind of wild’! Are YOU surprised?
Kristen Stewart does such a believable job as Bella Swan in Twilight, it’s hard to remember she’s not actually very much like her character in real life — something her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, revealed in a recent interview.
“Everyone thinks she is Bella from Twilight. I think she’s such a good actor that she encompassed that role so well that people think that’s how she is,” he told ScreenRant. “When you meet Kristen, she’s so far away from that character. I’d first seen her in ‘Into the Wild’ and I was really blown away.”
In fact, Rupert had to withstand a ton of criticism from skeptics when he cast Kristen, 21, as Snow White in his action film — but he knows she’s going to prove them all wrong with her phenomenal performance.
“She’s incredibly spirited and very kind of wild and also she’s got this kind of this alchemy to her,” Rupert said. “You’re not quite sure what it is about her but on screen she’s just incredible. And when you see her act you realize why she is such a huge movie star and why she’s going to continue to get bigger.”
After seeing the latest SWATH trailer and now hearing just how confident her director is about her talents, we are more excited than ever to see Kristen as Snow White when the film hits the big screen June 1. Do you think she’s more like her Snow White character than Bella? Sound off below!
