In a matter of days, documentary filmmaker Jason Russell went from an internet sensation to a viral punchline after a very public, nude rant. He’s since been admitted to the hospital and has plans to remain there for months.
Jason Russell, Invisible Children co-founder and two-time viral video star — first for KONY 2012, and second for the naked, public meltdown that followed — may remain in the hospital for several months according to his wife, Danica.
In a new statement posted on the Invisible Children blog, Danica reveals that Jason is suffering from “brief reactive psychosis, an acute state brought on by the extreme exhaustion, stress and dehydration,” and that he “will remain, under hospital care for a number of weeks; and after that, the recovery process could take months before he is fully able to step back into his role with Invisible Children.”
Let’s hope Jason makes a full-recovery!
