After a night of rousing Billy Joel songs, one unlucky singer was sent packing. Were YOU shocked to see who it was?

American Idol‘s elimination shows are always nail-biters, and the March 22 episode after the Billy Joel showcase was no exception!

Deandre Brackensick, Erika Van Pelt and Heejun Han were all in the bottom 3, and unfortunately Erika was sent packing.

R u serious? Heejun should’ve been sent home, not Erika!!! Something is wrong with America, they obviously don’t know good music and singers!!!

R U kidding me? Heejun made a mockery of the process and he deserved to be sent home. Once again, this show is a popularity contest and has nothing to do with talent.

at this level of the voting (when there are 10 ppl), it has nothing to do with who is the most talented— but, when it gets closer to the end, talent does speak/win. unfortunately, talent also loses sometimes. in any case, heejun and deandre won’t win this thing… but, at this level, the young girls can pull them through another round or two. don’t fret, the last person standing will have talent!

Heejun Han should NOT be in the Top 10. He should have auditioned for last comic standing. Like Stephen said, “take it seriously!” And Heejun clearly doesn’t and should have been sent packing long ago…

tho i agree, some people use comedy to relax nerves. he had been doing a lot of serious ballady songs, and chose to show another side of him IN THE PERFORMANCE— i don’t think it was as inappropriate as it might seem. yes, he’s a jokester- but his performances have ALWAYS been very serious. this was the first time he did a fun performance, so i think steven overreacted a little bit.
