‘Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax’ animated movie is doing so well at the box office, we’re told Universal wants to make a sequel! Would YOU see it?

Even though Dr. Seuss never wrote a second The Lorax book, Universal is toying around with creating a sequel to Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, since it has done so well in theaters.

Thanks in large part to its A-list stars, who include Taylor Swift and Zac Efron, The Lorax has grossed a whopping $175 million dollars worldwide, making it the highest grossing film of the year so far.

“Even though they don’t have a book to base the sequel off, Universal is trying to figure out a way to make another one, since it’s been such a monster box office hit,” our source says. “And they’d love to have Taylor back.”

Do YOU want to hear Taylor and Zac voice another The Lorax movie? Sound off below!

“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” got a sequel and the book it was based on didn’t have a sequel but the movie was still made
I would love to see a sequel as long as most of it stars the Once-Ler and The Lorax since the movie is called “The Lorax” NOT “Thneedville”

There’s gotta be more Extension to the story then it was originally told. Here The Once-Ler started when after his first day of selling his thneed. When he was heading back to the valley, he heard a little teenage girl crying three steps away from him. He walked three steps, turned, and saw a beautiful teenage girl all dressed up in raged clothes, Her left eye was black, and her hair was black and dirty. The Once-Ler kneeled down and pulled out his hand. The poor girl was hiding from him. “Hey… It’s okay I’m not gonna hurt you.” He said as claim as he could be. The girl touched his hand and came closer to the light. “My name’s Emma.” She said as she felt safe inside. The Once-Ler asked her “where are you’re parent’s?” She answered whipping her tears”I don’t have any… My dad died in a war oversea’s and my mother and grandmother died in a house fire.” He looked at her and said “I’m sorry I never should’ve asked that question.” “It’s okay” she said holding the Once-Ler in his arms. The Once-Ler felt warmness in his heart. Emma was about to change his life. The Once-Ler held her hand and they both started walking towards the valley. When they got there, The Once-Ler and Emma were hiding from the Lorax because he didn’t like humans who like around the valley except for the Once-Ler because he made a promise to never chop down another tree. They actually made it in unnoticed. Emma looked around the house and she thought it was perfect. The Once-Ler knew that Emma was gonna love it here. Emma went ahead and found a shower. The Once-Ler got clothes for here. He got his normal clothes set on the end side of his bed. He cut his pants in half to make it short for Emma, Cut his boxers to make it look like girl’s underpants, And he also cut his sleeves in half. When Emma got out of the shower, the Once-Ler looked at her and said “I’ll go and let you change. Knock on the door if you have any problems.” The Once-Ler got out of the house while The Lorax came out of the blue and asked ” who’s that?” “Emma” he answered “She is an orphan and she needed a place to stay.” The Lorax asked him “how long have you too know each other?” “We’re not dating, she’s a fourteen year old girl.” He said as the Lorax had a crush on her. Emma opened the curtain a little and said to the Once-Ler “Hey, you can come in now.” The Once-Ler came in and saw her. She looked beautiful as ever. All she was missing was his fedora. The outfit looked really good on her and it fit her really well. He came close and said “wow you fit really good with my clothes.” She smiled at him like he was changing his life forever.

The sun came down and everyone in the valley was ready for bed. While The Once-Ler brushing his teeth, Emma got her pajamas on and crawled on the left side of the bed. The Once-Ler came out said “Emma when I first saw you, I knew that you would be my inspiration. You made me do something that’s right.” “wow” she said “well thanks and good luck on you’re Thneed tomorrow.” “You know about that?” He asked. “Well yes” she replied “and it looks amazing.” She closed her eyes as she was falling asleep. The Once-Ler said as she went to sleep “good night,Emma.” “Good night.” She replied “I love you.” He paused for a moment and replied “I love you, too.”

The next day, Emma woke up with a sound of the Once-Ler coughing. Emma asked him “Are you okay?” The Once-Ler replied with his nose stuffed up “yeah, just a little cold.” Two coughs came out while Emma asked him “do you have a thermometer?” He replied “yes,it’s in our bathroom inside the mirror.” Emma ran to the bathroom (which is right next to The Once-Ler’s bed) got to the mirror, opened it and saw the thermometer was ready to be used. She got it and gave it to the poor sick Once-Ler.

Meanwhile, the Once-Ler wasn’t the only one who got sick. Pipsqueak was sneezing continuously until the Lorax came over and felt his hole head. The Lorax’s didn’t understand why Pipsqueak was sick, but the Lorax knew he had to do something. He ran to the Once-Ler’s door and shouted “Hey beanpole, open this door!” Emma walked to the door and said “he can’t come to the door because he’s ill. You know if you needed anything you could’ve just asked.” The Lorax that she was pranking around, but when he looked in the window, he discovered the Once-Ler was sick. Emma was shutting every last window of his house so nobody else can get sick. It was smart thinking of her to do that, but if only she would thought of that sooner. When she shut the last one of the windows, Emma washed a rag with ice cold water to put on his head…carefully. As she gently put that rag on his forehead, the Once-Ler said “It’s nice to someone around in you’re life, you know.” “I know that’s I’m here to help.” She said as the Once-Ler got stunned by the cold rag only a little. “It’s okay” she said. The Once-Ler looked at her and said “Emma, what will I do with out you.” “I can go and try to sell you’re thneed for you.” She said as he remembered he was supposed to be there hours ago. The Once-Ler grabbed her hand and said “I want you to stay.” “I’m sorry but you want to make you’re family proud. I want a family to love so…” “Well I love you more than my family.” Emma paused and as her heart felt warm. Emma walked towards him, kneeled down as he was coughing, and said “I’ll stay until you feel better.” Emma rapped her arms around him. The Once-Ler never felt something like this. The Once-Ler was petting her Black hair. Emma knew she was safe in his arms. Emma unwrapped her arms and noticed that The Once-Ler’s sickness was gone. Who would have thought love from a teenage girl who be the medicine to his heart.

I know some people believe it should be the end BUT the movie has the eaning of planting trees so there could be life and no contaminants which a lot of u might know alreadybut my point be is that at the end in the credits it shows an inspirational song of ltting trees grow, maybe a second movie can be made if we have some creativity i was thinking of The Lorax 2: Te Revenge of O Haire which would be an option.SO I Say YES TO THE LORAX SEQUEL SOO EVERYONE KEEP VOTING YES THIS MOVIE IDEA IS GOOD FOR A SEQUEL AND IF U DONT BELEIVE IT FOR A SECOND FILM THAN CHECK THE SONG AT THE END ND SEE IF IT TOUCHES UR HEART FOR A CHANCE OF A SECOND FILM OF TH LORAX THINK OF IT (sorry i wrote it again cause myname was wrong on he lastcomment I wrote)

A lot of people say that this is a movie that doesn’t need a sequel. I will admit that it’s a bit unnecessary, but at the same time, I’m actually very excited. There were some loose ends in The Lorax, and if they tie them up in the sequel, it will be very enjoyable.

Honestly, I have quite mixed feelings… I thought the flashback portion of the movie was wonderful, and found the other parts to be… just boring. Mainly because of the animals – the singing Hummingfish, fuzzy Barbaloots and cute Swomee-swans made the entire movie worth watching for me. So basically, I wouldn’t mind a sequel as long as they show more of the animals.

Well, that all depends on what they decide to do with the sequel. Is it going to be about the trees coming back? Personally, I’d like to see a bit more of a background of the Once-ler, but more of what happened in the time span of the song “How Bad Can I Be?” since it spans over a few years. Maybe more Old Once-ler reminiscing about his wrong-doings or something. I dunno, it’s just a thought… Either way, so long as there’s another movie, regardless if it’s done well or not, I’m definitely going to show my love for the characters and beautiful animation.

Not a sequal, a pre-qual. They should make a movie based on the once-ler’s life and not include Ted and Audrey in it.

Some movies don’t need sequels, The Lorax was one of them.
Making a sequel will honestly be one of the stupidest things hollywood can do. The story was wrapped up nicely, and making another would be like kicking a dead horse. Do you know why most sequels totally fail? BECAUSE THEY WEREN’T NEEDED.
