It’s been a strange and confusing turn of events for documentary filmmaker, Jason Russell, but luckily, his bizarre behavior won’t have any long-term consequences. After a new video detailing his strange naked outburst was released over the weekend, many people are wondering why the 33-year-old was only detained, not arrested.
“Due to the nature of the detention, he was not arrested,” Lt. Andra Brown said. “During the evaluation we learned we probably needed to take him to a medical facility because of statements he was saying.”
Jason’s wife, Danica Russell, blamed the incident on “exhaustion and dehydration” and insisted that Jason has never had a substance abuse or alcohol problem. So what did cause Jason to snap? An expert on The Today Show thinks stress due to his new-found fame. “Someone who is under tremendous scrutiny… that is a lot of pressure.”
