'Teen Mom' Cancelled: MTV Says Fourth Season Will Be The Last

We’re about to stop seeing Farrah, Maci, Catelynn and Amber on TV every week! Can you believe this shocking news?

Wow, this one is hard to swallow. We hate to tell you this, but we’re about to see the end of Teen Mom with the original cast.

“Season 4 will be the final season of Teen Mom with Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah,” MTV told Us Weekly. “They will continue to be a part of our MTV family, and we’re thankful to these brave young women for sharing their stories and helping to make a positive impact on teen pregnancy prevention.”

Throughout the past four years, we’ve grown to love Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, Amber Portwood and Farrah Abraham and it’s hard to imagine our small screens without them. Thankfully, we have Teen Mom 2 and Teen Mom 3 to keep us entertained.

i cant blieve that we wont see the teen moms after the fouth seanson because they were my favorite to watch because they showed that it is hard to have a kid when you are in high school.

Aw what?! This “cast” of moms was the only ones I liked! I can’t get into Teen Mom 2 (they all annoy me)! Well at least we’ll have the last season to watch….

I think that they have all made a very sensible decision to remove their children from the spotlight in order to go on and live their lives to their full potential. I wish all of you the very best of luck in the future and hope that you make the most of it. I shall miss watching Teen Mom, but you have made the right decision for your children. Catelynn and Tyler I hope you will continue to be an inspiration to many over the years whether on or off TV. Bentley is the cutest!!

It wasn’t their decision to take their kids out of the ‘spotlight’. There were supposed to be 5 season i think because I thought at some point Maci said Bentley would be at least 5 when their contract is up. They cancelled it because of all the crap Amber went through legal wise.

I would have to say that these girls are, even though they were young hopefully opened the eyes of other teen girl(s) wanting to have have children at a young age. I enjoyed the show. Catelynn and Taylor were AMAZING handling the adoption of their child. Have a friend who has just done the same thing.” You girls made me enjoy watching the show. You guys will truely be missed..!

Im gutted this show is gonna end! I love teen mom! Series 3 has only just ended in UK so looks like I’m in for a bit of a wait for series 4 I know it’ll be worth it tho :) I did try teen mom 2 but I didn’t connect with the characters so I sacked that one off after 2 episodes, I reckon they should bin that instead! I do agree the kids need a bit of “normality” though to grow up out of the spotlight.

This so sad. I have been watching it from when they first started and all of the episodes. I am going to miss watching these teen moms and their struggles and stories, but not (AMBER), duh! Shes a complete loser. I watch both Teen Mom 1 and 2, but of course. Teen Mom 1 is of course wayyyyy better! I am so going to miss Maci and Catelynn the most. They are amazing people and they are my favorite on the show(: Please Please don’t cancel it. Sure as hell going to miss it! They should do like a Teen Mom 1 in like 5-7 years. Just to see how much the kids have changed from babies, to kids, and to pre-teens. Also, see how the four moms have changed, look, and what they have done with their lives. That woul hbe really cool!(:

Agreed! I would rather Teen Mom 2 be cancelled. The only reason I watch that show is to see Chelsea, Aubree, and Papa Randilicious. :P

agreed. I think the TM1 girls are better role models. Unfortunately, I think that’s exactly why they got cancelled. The girls have their lives together, and a few of them have spoke out saying they don’t want their kids to have to deal with it when they get in school. I think it’s the smart thing to do. At the very least, take the kids out of the spotlight.

Maybe now they will get real jobs and stop living off other people but knowing these girls they will get pregnant again to get money off the state cause none of them have very important thing a Job. Wish mtv would stop making these shows all together 16& pregnant and teen moms in my town I here girls all the time say they want to get pregnant just to be on the show cause then they will have money. So happy I waited tell I was 27 to have a baby and I do not live off the state unlike most of the girls on these shows and I do not live with my mom and dad cause I have to take care of my 5 year old that is my job not there’s.

I understand what you’re saying and why you’re saying it but not ALL teen moms are like that. I know someone who is 17 and pregnant [not on purpose] and she shares a beautiful 1bdroom apartment with her baby father who she cares for very much. They are not on any state support whatsoever and never ask anyone for even a penny [not even their family]. I agree that it’s smart to wait but things happen and it’s how you deal with them that count. so just because these girls will most likely be welfare cases all their lives, doesn’t mean EVERY teen mom is like that. So just be a little considerate.

Funny how you were smart enough to wait till you were 27 to have a baby but not SMART enough to know that they were not all dependent on the states money. I don’t get why ppl these days talk so much about how it used to be back then and getting pregnant at a young age meant you were gonna be jobless and on welfare. Doesn’t make any damn sense to start judging ppl right off the bat. Let them make their own mistakes and learn from them. There is a God and its not you.

It’s such a shame. They’re cancelling the wrong Teen Mom. It should be Teen Mom 2 that get’s the axe. I never even watch that one anymore. I will miss these girls.

It’s what’s best for them kids. Maybe check up on them in like 10 years or so but not for the cameras to be in their life every single day, let them grow up as normal children.

I think it is the perfect time for them to cancel. The little ones are starting school and they don’t need to be followed through that transition. I hope them all the best and hope they continue to grow outside of the microscope.

Kind of sad to see this end. They got me hooked on the 16 & pregnant/Teen Mom franchise. I wish them all nothing but the best. I hope Catelynn and Tyler have a TV wedding though! :)

I’m really gonna miss them (except Amber), even though they made the stupid mistakes I enjoyed watching their stories and of course watching the little kids. (: I hope they make good choices and wish them the best of luck in the future. (:

i think all of ya’ll need to shut up i liked the show i loved all the people that was on it and they shouldn’t of cancelled it but they did the reason why i liked it cause it showed how hard it is to raise a kid and how hard to work and be a single parent it is hard thank God i am still with my baby daddy and he helps me with it a whole lot but yes the people on here need to quit jumping down these people throats on get over it, i loved teen mom 1 it was awesome
