Robert Pattinson’s ‘Cosmopolis’ director David Cronenberg reveals how R-Patz makes it into bars without hoards of Twi-hards following him!

Robert Pattinson is king of “low key” and now we know how he does it. We’re always baffled when we hear the 25-year-old actor showed up at a bar or a club and no one noticed him…but it turns out he actually does this on purpose.

“When we were shooting on the streets, [Pattinson] had a lot of fans crowding around, but he could go to bars and clubs in his street clothes and people didn’t recognize him,” David Cronenberg told a class at Queen’s University March 13.

The Cosmopolis director also complimented Rob on his work ethic, saying there’s more to him than just Twilight.

“He’s a very serious actor,” he said. “He wants to be great and takes the trouble to try and be great,” he said. “What he does in [Cosmopolis] will lay that question to rest, which a lot of people who are skeptical of Twilight are asking.”
