'Two and a Half Men' Cancelled? Too Expensive To Renew, Insider Says

Two and a Half Men Cancelled

A source on the hit TV show’s set tells HollywoodLife.com producers are concerned about the amount of money they’d have to pay Ashton Kutcher and the rest of the cast to stay on the show for another season and are considering cancelling it!

Even huge ratings might not be enough to keep CBS’s hit sitcom, Two and a Half Men, afloat. HollywoodLife.com can tell you exclusively it might not be renewed for a tenth season due to the cast’s over all high salary.

“Right now it’s all about the money,” a source on the show tells us. “CBS would have to give Ashton Kutcher a huge raise to stay on for another season, plus the rest of the cast makes a ton a money already. It might just be worth it to end on a huge note.”

After Charlie Sheen left the show in season eight, he was replaced by Ashton, who brought in an average of more than 16 million viewers a week (which was nearly a series all-time high!). However, despite the high ratings, the 34-year-old actor was still paid an estimated $15.4 million for the season, which would only increase.

“Discussions are still happening, but right now it’s looking like it’s 50/50 at best for renewal,” our source says.

Would YOU like to see Two and Half Men renewed for a tenth season? Sound off below!

Welcome to Malibu. 21 miles of scenic sewage is what the sign shoul d say. Sure Charlies dad is still there along with his brother among other celebs. China Den is now closed, certain bars are gone and on p.c.h. A lot of the properties look run down. Sure there are a lot of other areas and homes which are nice. But even people have changed. Men actualy made the town seem more like it use to be. Fun, friendly, and worry free. Now the show seems to be like how people are there. Stupid. Not everyone but you know who you are and what I’m saying. Anyway thanks for the 8 wonderful seasons. I feel bad for the rest of the cast as well.

Also since anger management is starting in September. It’s pretty obvious that two and a half men will get blown out the water. If this was a chess match. I would say checkmate.

Two and a half men was based on Charlie sheen. If you loose the primary character in season 8. You should know like any good business deal, know when to cut your losses and move on.

Two and a Half Men was distorted version of Charlie Sheen’s life. Everything he did on the show, he was doing off it, in some shape or form. Of course he was great on the show. He was living his life on it. All they needed to do was let him drink, and keep him away from the other stuff. He would have been fine, and the show would still be great. But no, they think they could do better without him. Now the show is going down the toilet.

L.L.C., L.L. Anger Management

New 2.5 Men sucks! Maybe Chuck Lorre can create a new show and cast Ashton as Tarzan. The show has lost its meaning and comedy. Cancel it ASAP and stop ruining the image of the original series!!!!

The only way I’d watch the show again is if Charlie came back. The show was a total joke with Aston. Now it’s just really bad actors, making too much money. They should have let Charlie have time off so he could deal with his problems and resume back to normal. Btw im watching anger management right now, yeah Charlie.

Before Charlie was fire it was two and a half men. Now it’s just TWO men. One for alan, and 1/2 for jake and 1/2 for Ashton. Ashton has no smarts, hence the reason he’s worth half.

This show was always a big favorite of mine so I was very disappointed when Charlie went off the deep end and was fired. I was looking forward to Ashton Kutcher being in the cast and faithfully watched the first few shows. They sucked and I haven’t watched the show since. I had high hopes for Charlie Sheen’s new show, Anger Management, but was disappointed that his character wasn’t more like the Charlie character which he does so well, so I no longer watch that one either.

Yea the show does really suck so hard that it even brought Patton Oswald onto the show for a couple of episodes that even his presence couldn’t push it to the next level.

I’ll also add in an episode where Allan Harper had a split personality and turned into Charlie Harper was quite indicative that those CBS morons were trying so hard to bring back Charlie as Allan wore charlies trade mark wardrobe. How you like them apples huh. Ummm winning??

What two and a half men have with Ashton is nothing but eye candy on the set. With Charlie the show totally fed off of his star power mainly. Also his veteran experience which brought quality performance on every episode. Charlie is bringing that to anger management which airs Thursday nights 9:00 pm pacific on FX. To the executive that let him go and released him of his contract and how the new two and a half men is currently. I’ll bet somewhere in charlies tiki bar he’s drinking a jack and coke and saying ” Winning!”

What were they thinking? Ashton lurched can’t be compared to Charlie sheen Ashton’s persona is dorky, not funny and kelso like. He is not a versatile actor. He should stick to marrying rich older women. Yuk to Ashton. Hurrah for charlie

OMG, where did the writher go? The show totaly sucks!!
Ashton is playing the part he did on that 70;s show, what the heck, can’t believe that it is rated as high as they say. and the character Alan is sickening, and Jake is just a dope head. Either cancel the show or bring back Charlie.

I totally agree. Aston Kucher totally sucks in this roll. He is mot adult enough or adult enough to carry the role. They may have been pissed off at Charlie Sheen but this was “his” and there is no way that Kutcher could pull it off. I am glad to see it end.I have never been a fan of Aston Kutcher.
