The star showed off a very dark tan at the recent ‘Hunger Games’ premieres, but don’t worry, Elizabeth didn’t risk her skin or her health to get her glow!

Skin Finishing Expert Fiona Locke spray tanned Elizabeth Banks with St. Tropez tanning products for the March 12 Hunger Games premiere and she tells YOU how to get the look at home!

“Elizabeth was looking for a deeper bronzed look for the red carpet, so I gave her a more dramatic tone to enhance her bold colored dress,” explains Fiona.

Don’t have access to get a spray tan or want to touch up your spray tan at home? Fiona recommends using the St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse and Applicator Mitt. The best part about St. Tropez is that they have created very specific video tutorials for properly using sunless tanning products. Check them out at

Do you ever get spray tans or use sunless tanning products? They are the safest way to get a bronze glow without subjecting your skin to the cancer-causing rays of the sun. Not only does sun exposure cause skin cancer, but it also causes premature skin aging that appears in the form of wrinkles and sun spots. Put a natural tan on your list of things that are just NOT worth it and if you’re planning a tropical trip, make sure to pack one of our top sunscreen picks!

A great tip for sunless tanning at home is to apply your product gradually. Most sunless tanning creams and lotions will darken up over time so sleep on it (literally) and see what you look like the next day. You may be surprised at how much darker your tan is than the evening before.

The tan looks fine, but her makeup artist did a much better job on the first look. The foundation is wrong in the tan pic, and the harsh lighting makes it worse.
