The Nickelodeon network announced the show on Twitter, writing, “The rumors are true, our live-action slate does include a development project for @onedirection. Welcome to the family!”

NOOOO! All of the good boy bands always get put into a show and get all messed up! I love onedirection and their music we dont need acting to take over! Don’t wind up like bigtime rush their so lame having a show! Your whole fanbase will turn into little 5 year olds who dont even know who your are or how you sing, all they care about is the looks. This will be an utter dissapointment to all of your fans. I am a true fan and care about them gettng bigger and getting a tv show. I just dont want them to be torn apart by nick! But if this is what they are going to do i am goint to support them because i am always a true diehard directioner <3. one band.one dream. ONE DIRECTION

noooooooooooooo!!!! don’t all the little girls (including my cousins) will become your fans and everything in my mind will crash. They will be singing your songs in a really bad way and wrongly, and they probably won’t even know your names. Please don’t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! think of all your fans , all the stars on disney have become bad not all but most. Nick is ok but every kid watches nick. But, one direction should get a show on a channel more geared to their fans who are 99% 14+. Something like MTV would be much better than Nick. But I think the boys should stick to singing for now. 1D has talent, and for the people that hate Nick, you should really stop and think. Almost all of the Disney stars turned from role models to every parents worst nightmare, on the other hand the Nickelodeon actors/singers usually remain role models. For example Miranda Cosgrove is going to university, filming her show (iCarly), filming for a movie (despicable me 2) and has her singing career. She is still a respectable teenager and genuinely a good person. This experience could only help 1D. And from a Directioner to other Directioners you should really be proud of them. 1D forever:)And I beliebe<3

We are fans, but we just think that Nick is too young for them, at least let them have a show on MTV, it makes more sense seeing that 99% of their fans are 14+. If they go to Nick, I am 100% in a couple of years that they will become like the hundreds of “boybands” before them, a joke. I am a directioner and I honestly love them and will support them no matter what but I don’t want them to go down the wrong road.

The thing is you won’t get to see them more. You will get to see them on a kids show and then they will have a lot less time for singing which is what they love to do. So basically you have to decide whether you want to see them singing what they love and being who they are which is who the fans love or watch them pretend to be other people in a show geared towards 10 year olds with songs geared towards 10 year old. I love them and will support them with whatever they do. But if they do want to do this TV show for Nick then clearly they are going to have less time for touring, their music, and their fans. Niall said that 11 and 12 year old fans scare him because they are much younger than them. So, if they do this their fans are all gonna be 8-12 year olds. I AM THEIR FAN. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. BUT THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR THEM, ESPECIALLY SO SOON IN THEIR CAREER. BUT, I WILL BE HAPPY FOR THEM AS LONG AS THEY ARE DOING THE THINGS THEY LOVE AND I DONT THINK PRETENDING TO BE ROLE MODELS FOR 8 YEAR OLDS IS WHAT THEY WANT TO BE. (THEY HAVE A HARD TIME CONTROLLING WHAT THEY SAY IN INTERVIEWS ALREADY -ESPECIALLY HARRY-). Don’t you think we want to see more of 1D too? Maybe we want the best for them, but Nickelodeon isn’t the best. Most of us support them all they way, whatever direction they choose. I’d be fine if they got a show on MTV or something, but Nickelodeon? I honestly think the channel is way to childish for them. Most directioners are 14+ and don’t care for little kiddy shows like Big TIme Rush and iCarly. Would you like it if you go to a concert and are surrounded by little screaming 8 year olds claiming they “want to marry them?” I don’t think so hun. So I just don’t want to see them take up something that’ll ruin them like a Nickelodeon show. So basically, I’d rather have Harry date Caroline Flack.

If their tv show is something along the lines of the video diaries they used to do, then sure, awesome! Only, I worry because I don’t want the show to take away from their touring and singing, and I don’t want Nik to change them and make them artifical…
