The British pop stars are invading American girls’ hearts, but they admit that the dating scene is difficult.

Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson – better known as boy band One Direction — found their ticket to stardom, thanks to the U.K.’s X Factor. The teen heartthrobs spoke to Inside Edition about their love lives and if they’d date a fan!

“The reception that we’re getting is really flattering. To come to a country we’re not from and be welcomed in is really nice,” says Harry.

So would they be open to dating one of their piggie squealing fans?

“It can be quite difficult…we always get asked if we would ever date a fan. I think we probably would,” admits Zayn.

But regardless of their yummy looks — and the fact they encompass the full spectrum of Bieber hair and then some — the laddies stress that they’re not here to just get girls.

“For us, it’s important to make good music,” says Liam.
