Khloe Kardashian Should Have Told Lamar Odom About The Armenian Genocide

Lamar gets an offer to play basketball in Turkey, which upsets Khloe because of the emotional history of her Armenian ancestors with the country — should she have told him?

Khloe Kardashian is usually SO honest with her husband Lamar Odom, but on the March 11 episode of Khloe & Lamar, the reality star is scared to tell her husband about the history of the Armenian Genocide! Do you think it’s wrong for Khloe to keep her feelings bottled up?

Khloe was totally wrong for not telling Lamar how she really felt about him playing overseas. The Armenian Genocide is also known as the Armenian Holocaust, it took place between 1915 – 1923, right after World War I. The deathtoll is said to be between 1 million and 1.5 million people.

Khloe was rightfully upset during the episode of Khloe & Lamar because she went on to explain that Turkey refuses to admit that a genocide ever happened. Her siblings Kim Kardashian and Rob Kardashian both agreed that Khloe was in a sticky situation and should definitely tell Lamar.

Khloe eventually told Lamar about her family’s history and he completely understood and told her they’d make the decision about his NBA future together.

This episode of Khloe & Lamar managed to be very informative about a topic that not many know about. Khloe did a good job at giving a history lesson but not forcing her fans to take sides. Khloe made a point to say that she doesn’t hold the modern day people of Turkey accountable.

I’m Turkish and i’m not offended by khloe.
I respect her and respect the things she believes in and respect her roots. I have armenian friends and we get along just fine.
We talk about it and I listen to their story.
Because i was not the at the time i can’t say it’s not true.
Statistics don’t lie. Don’t get me wrong, i am proud to be Turkish.
But i hope that one day we all can put it behind us and give them the peace they need to put it behind them.

Khloe’s my fav and it was sad seeing her like that cuz she’s a good person. I hope in that the armenian and turkish people make peace.

Turkey is guilty of denying their past history and viciousness towards their innocent and indigenous populations which included the Armenians and Greeks. These populations endured centuries of fear and terror under the Ottomans. At the time of the attacks Turkey was the Ottoman Empire. Yes, modern day Turks are not responsible but they are responsible for recognizing and making amends to those they hurt. There is not only an Armenian genocide but a Greek one as well. For those who perished and for those who escaped but lost all property, possessions and dignity as refugees let us remember them with respect. I think that their relationship is good and that like any damn thing else good if others get a chance to destroy it then it will be done. I feel she is very supportive and overly supportive which shows there is no way for her to destroy her husband’s career, that is just a way to interfere with happiness no matter what. Khloe is doing a correct human gesture.
Doesn’t matter if someone is Armenian or not.
Anyone with a human dignity, should acknowledge a Genocide and respect the victims and blame the instigator.
It’s a proven fact that Turkey has committed a systematic elimination of a race. The word “Genocide” was termed by a Jewish lawyer after what he read about the Armenian Genocide.
I respect Khloe and Kim for their initiative.

Comparing the Armenian Genocide with the Holocaust is lame. Germany have accepted their guilt and until now are paying to the Jews. Turkey has still to accept their guilt, return the lands, stop cultural-destruction, stop the killing of it’s minorities, etc.
There is no human rights in Turkey, they can kill anyone who is not a Muslim without being punished. They have a legal Bill-301 that is directly linked to this fact.
All non-Muslims in Turkey are referred to as Kafirs and can be killed at will with full protection of their legal system!!

Turkey should just admit it was genocide and move on. Instead they want to deny it forever. That is wrong. Genocide or not… Cant be proven without archives… Either way it is almost 100 years old. Besides the turkish republic was founded in 1923, 8 years after this tragedy. I cannot find any logical reason why the turkish people should be blamed. And i think the goverment has the right to deny it since officially they didnt do anything. Im not biased but it doesnt make any sense to me. In 1915 in istanbul there was a great population of armenian people. If the king or the sultan ordered to kill the armenians would he skip the ones closest to him?
